I like the large impulse engines. Normal galaxies are unbelievacle to accelerate within any considerale time.  :D

I like the design, though the Impulse engines are kinda large... and 8 of them on the saucer? Is the ship compensating for something? Because engines like that would better fit an Excalibur.

The nacelles are much improved, nice work. They have, however, acquired a bit of a "bald spot" on the back. Perhaps they just need some texturing, but I think their design is the main cause. Try creating a larger flat space vertically or perhaps squaring them off a little more.

I concur with others (still) that the impulse engines need reduction. If you want to retain the quadripartite design, then try reducing the width of each section. Right now they just seem to be too much. I still recommend getting rid of the small impulse engines at the back of the nacelles (at least I assume that's what they are). Somehow they don't seem to fit in. Perhaps it's because the pylons appear to be too thin. Maybe it would be better if you tried changing the shape of the engine to a squared one so as to juxtapose it with the rounded nacelles.

I must say that the quadripartite deflector design needs to go. It does not fit the space very well because you are trying to divide an oval space into quadrants like a rectangle or even a circle.

One last minor detail, choose one style of escape pod for the hull and stick to it. You've obviously taken the bridge region of a Sovereign with its triangular escape pods and put it on to the Galaxy saucer which uses square escape pods or square hatches at least. It probably doesn't matter too much which shape you choose, but pick one and be consistent.

It's going well. This is obviously not an easy task. You are trying to conform to an design philosophy while at the same time create something unique. You are seeking the perfect place on the design spectrum all ship designers seek. At one extreme are those ships which are weak and uninteresting in their design and at the other are those which are ridiculous and over the top. You are getting close to that happy medium, listen to us happy critics, and keep at it

i did say texture is a standin its just there to give the mesh a feeling (and to see wot it may look like roughly). i'll take a look into the saucer impulse engines and try and reduce them slightly (the bigger engines were placed for the purpose of getting the civillian population to saftey quicker) gonna keep the impulse engines on the nacelles but may look at remodeling them a bit

I was wondering... could you give the nacelles a slightly more of an angle towards the Descent's? You know, more metal wrapping. Plus I think some extra length wouldn't hurt. And maybe try a bit more of a Tactical look. Lt. Worf's black along the saucer did just that. Maybe some more black. Plus I'd think there'd be more phaser arrays (I may have been expecting a bit much I guess). Though so far really nice. I look forward to release.

Oh... and I kinda liked the Phase Cannon feature on the earlier version. Would it be too much to throw it back in? Or maybe a dual Phase Cannon?
