wow.. Epic Blade... Epic. It's not exactly what I pictured a Galaxy II to look like but it's definitely in the style of FO. like the Excelsior II and Miranda II etc. Very nice!

Very well done, I can't say that I really like it, personal preference mostly, I don't think it looks very Starfleet and it looks mostly like what it is, a kit-bash plus some. I particularly don't like the nacelles, some angels look alright but others don't look so good. I espicially don't like the front edge of the saucer, the broken line just doesn't look good in my mind. Starfleet ships rarely have sharp breaks in their hull lines thpse that do however have a deep recess rather than a shallow change in level.
It's still very well done though.

thx guys i understand that it may not be to everyones tastes (thought there would be more complaints bout the deflector than the nacelles but still good comments

yeah I would have to agree that the deflector needs work, but the nacelles are some of the best i have ever seen for armada

um....i hate to be a spoiler....but.....Blade...did you ask DJ Curtis for permission to use the nacelles from the Eclipse Class?? I was looking very very closely at this..and so I fired up my MS3D to confirm my suspision..... ive attached a shot in MS3D of the Eclipse Class that was released for BC on Christmas Day....
As you can see....these are the same nacelles.... right down to phasers on the sides just as in your pictures....but you did remove the dorsal nacelle phaser i did notice..

okay...cool cool....just don't want anyone to get mad at you or you get upset or anything....ive seen this happen waaaaaay too many times over the years with great modelers...a simple confusion/misunderstanding that drives a good modder/modeler away for something simple...
Now that thats out of the way...i would actually get away from the using the dawnstar saucer and use a galaxy saucer section...but modify it at some hull paneling to it...enlarge the saucer impulse engines. Id say something similar to this...when I hear Galaxy II this is what i think of..check it out...

Want a kiss?

Great ship, no other words left for it

Edit: Now at the second look and more detailed:
The saucer is a thousand times more appropriate to a Galaxy-based vessel than the Dawnstar's one (too round, not broad enough) but the nacelles could be more... well "interesting", I tend to more like the nacelles blade wants to use for his one, but in fact it's already great as it is.

no offence, but I like blades better

I don't usually like revamped versions of older ships. In recent times, I think only the E-II has really caught my attention enough for me to say I like it. However, looking at the one that Lt.Cmdr Worf suggested for Galaxy II, I have to say... I don't dislike it. I still think it needs some work mind;
I think the armour plating needs a little work on it's colours as it seem ever so slightly out of touch. Perhaps lightening the greys on the armour. On the underside, part of the new armour interferes with the ventral phaser array on the saucer which looks a little odd.
Apart from that, I'd say this is pretty much what I'd expect from a G-II

I dis like it because it looks like a regular one with extra impulse drives, plates stuck to the outer hol, and different naclles,(which I don't really like either)
It just doesn't seem different enough

I see your point. However, if it's too different then I'd prefer it with it's own class name
. A class name with a "II" behind it, to me, suggests an extremely extensive refit of an existing class but not necessarily a total rebuild of it's structure. That's why I voted for the second one but I do quite like the first as well
(just not in a Galaxy context)

well i've taken peoples views in and next images will include new nacelles and a more galaxy like saucer

personally i too agree the nacells may be a bit fat, i think itd be cool if you extended them, and itd be cool if you could make them maybye round, more like the enterprise from the new movie, that more future look
i personally love the saucer, i think its good the way it is, maybye even some more curves, and maybe a bit more ovaly, but i think it looks great
