Writing Maps to text format

yes, megadroid is correct. also file size is a factor. the (regular) binary format is better for armada to read while the ascii format (achieved through the command line parameter) is better for us to read :)

I could extract the file format using the text version of the BZN file.  Then I could use a HEX editor once I got the format memorized.  For now, I have a wormhole that's not cooperating with me and I don't know the format.

Thanks for the command line though.  Oh, and in a binary format only uses 4 bytes per variable (if it's integer or float) where the text format of the same number can use up to who knows how many bytes.

For some reason, the command isn't working for me.  I used
Code: Select all
"C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada II Fleet OperationsDataarmada2.exe" /loadsavetext
but it's still saving my maps to the binary format.  Why?
