there are only two types of ping.

standard tachyon - blue

graviton tachyon - green

the only other differences are by size of ping.

i think the hss has the largest green ping. although the normal sensor is still rather nice.

just tested it, both are identical range, long.

So why is it called Graviton ping instead of Graviton-tachyon ping? Kind of odd to simply leave out the second part.

the guide says graviton, the game says graviton-tachyon. i think dom is just omitting the technobabble to make it simpler.

He put in Graviton-Tachyon for the normal Sensor Station.

maybe dom made a typo then. in game it definitely says graviton-tachyon for all green pings, there is no plain graviton ping. its not really important. all people have to know is that green ping decloaks everything, blue decloaks almost everything.

The desription of the Nova special is confusing with the officer color. Was that intented?

I assume you mean it is confusing because it is not appearing at first officer rank, correct? All those database inadequacies will be replaced once the parser and database is redone 'soon'  :sweatdrop:. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime

Haha ;) No reason for apologies. I'd just thought to let you know. I guess it's hard to keep track on every little thing ...

Has anyone checked the Mixed-Tech review? It seems to be having trouble, for the Federation at least.

What sort of trouble do you mean? They aren't "active" (under construction) so I haven't updated nor groomed the images/text

The classic X replacing 75% of the images that the internet seems to love so much.

Ah, well, I haven't touched any of the images since the move, and since the guide was redone the way image urls was done changed - hence many of them not appearing :) . I will get around to redoing the mixed tech one of these days. It's a bit frustrating to do it without a database to use as quick reference, not to mention being bogged down by all the other stuff that comes first  :sweatdrop: . Have no fear, eventually .... it'll be done  :innocent:
