Your Computer and Fleet Ops
Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

Hi folks,
We'd like to build a better FAQ for minimum computer specifications for running Fleet Ops so we can later compile recommended and minimum system requirements
.
Consequently, if you think you have a lower end system, it would be greatly appreciated if you could note down the information here. Higher end systems need not be described, as one would expect that (most) should work without issues. However, if you encounter some issues with FO on a particular system, feel free to write it here as well.
Include at least the CPU Model and frequency, amount of cores and threads and graphics card and graphics RAM and on what graphics settings Fleet Ops is played with.
If it is possible, also include the Windows performance index with the PC specs and related subfield.
Thank you ahead of time!

I played Fleetops up to 3.2x on a notebook with an ATI mobility x700, a 1,8Ghz Intel Celeron and 1GB ram on 1280x768 with reduced texture details (medium, on big maps low).
With many ships or big explosions it was slowed down. Borg where also a little problem.
BS was WinXP.

i play fleetops usually at half graphics detail these days. makes it run fast enough. on a good day it will run at full graphics.

Intel Core2 Duo(duel core) CPU T6600 @ 2.20Ghz.
4GB ram
nVidia GeForce 8200m G series
Win7 32bit no problems with crashes or OOM
I play at full graphics, but certain things will lag a tiny bit like space art and explosions so I usually lower them for multiplayer games. My mouse use to drag a bit, but I re-tuned my graphics to performance rather than quality and it works better than ever now.
Edit: WEI:
4.2 overall.
Processor: 5.6

Graphics: 4.2
Gaming Graphics: 4.9
Primary hard disk: 5.3

If you decided to post WEI, could you include at least gaming graphics, ram and cpu. The overall score is a bit vague.

Let's see...
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.26GHz (single core)
RAM: 2GB DDR
GPU: GeForce FX 5700LE (256 MB Video RAM, 225 MHz, AGP)
OS: Linux (Ubuntu 11.04 distro, using Wine to run FO)
Runs with a consistent frame rate at 800x600 with graphics at second lowest. The game most likely runs faster in native Windows with the same hardware than on Wine. It's worth noting that the GeForce FX series is only 16bit for some reason. One last thing, I'm running a dual monitor setup with FO on one screen and just the desktop on the other while playing. I'm not sure if simply having the second monitor active is affecting frame rate.
I used to use a different computer with the following specs.
CPU: 1.7GHz (single core)
RAM: 512MB DDR
GPU: Intel integrated graphics card from around 2000-2003 (I honestly can't remember much about the card other than that it was ancient enough not to support Shader 1.0)
OS: Windows XP Pro SP3
That ran FO, but the frame rate was horrible even with the graphics settings all the way down. A1 and A2 had decent to good frame rate.

intel something 1,3 ghz single core if there is any 32
nvidia fx5500 128
ddr1 motherboard
256 mb ram
60gb hdd
win xp
in skirmish 2 pl no problems , 4 pl you can manage , 6 pl its heavy fps and 8pl dont even start i got error first time and blue screen of death second so dont play more than 4 pl.
EDIT #1 and dont put borg in game at all
EDIT #2 ATI radeon 9000 can run the game , this graphic card have some 15 jears
EDIT #3 nvidia geforce 4 cant run FLOPS at all
EDIT #4 nvidia geforce 3 , 2 and 1 dont run FLOPS , naturaly
EDIT #5 some integrated nvidia geforce 6020 SE nforce 400 works ok with 1gb and xp

AMD Turion(tm) 64 Mobile
Technology ML-32
1.79 Ghz, 1.50 GB of RAM
ATI RADEON MOBILITY XPRESS 200 series
Before my wipe I was able to play Fleetops decently on half-graphics (many will remember the "Boggz-lag" as Butters calls it).
After the wipe I am essentially unable to play it online at all. I suspect that something I did or something I have yet to update has caused me that trouble.

Windows Vista Home Premium (running through Bootcamp)
40GB HDD partition
2.13GHz Core 2 Duo
2GB RAM
NVidia 9400M Integrated Graphics

2.6 GHz processor
Intel Integrated Graphics Chipset, no problems running on max graphics with no anti-aliasing
3 GB of RAM (DDR2, I think)
220 GB HDD
HP g60, if anyone's wondering.
Pretty low-end, but it doesn't run too hot and gets the job done.
The OTHER computer I use, but I don't run flops on due to usage issues (home comp currently, but a new HDD for a different computer will fix that) is:
2.7 GHz processor
1GB of some sort of RAM, gonna upgrade it soon
300 GB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce 440 (My own addition, my mother was quite scared when I cracked the computer open to install it)
And the computer that needs the new hard drive, but I've used FLOPS on before, has:
2 GB DDR or DDR2 RAM (can't remember which)
3.0 GHz processor
400W power supply
NVIDIA 5400 card or something, can't remember, but I know it's old.

Is that a single core Megaman?
FrazUK, if you could, possibly break down the WEI into it's subcomponents
