Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

The cloaking device being such an advantage in Nemesis seemed ridiculous anyway.

Just aim at where those shots are coming from and you're fine. Damn, you even can do this by aiming your weapons manually. It just takes minimal amounts of anticipation to hit that huge thing.

As soon as the Scimitar opens fire, the advantage of the cloaking device is more or less nullified.

The BoP in Star Trek VI was different. It fired one torpedo at a time and maneuvered a lot between those single shots. Much more difficult.

Yes Mr. Tyler :pinch:

Common now, you've been trying to make excuses for why so and so ship would win etc, and yet you see that K'vorts in game get "thru-shield torps", so what's wrong with the comparison here? If you want to believe that Picard (or the Enterprise) will win everytime, I can't stop you. Nonetheless, leave the movie and show comparisons out of this RTS, because I would prefer that the balance wasn't justified by shows where an Intrepid can take out a Tactical Cube or a Sphere.  :crybaby:

I have to agree with the people woh have brought up the point of you cant compare a game to a movie. There are many examples of where in the show the outcome would be entirely diferent in FO. The borg from TNG are a perfect example. In tng they are nearly invinceable in terms of physics. like the battle of wolf 359. or all the enterprise-d encounters with them. Once the borg adapted weapons were useless. In ST VI that d-12 bop used precision targeting and the advantage of knowing the enterprises sheild frequencies to win....in yesterdays enterprise the kvorts I belive were scaled up versions as in something similar to in ds9 with the supersized neghvar in the mirror universe. the fact is the shows and movies do not have to be "canon" to their tech. where as in a game a galaxy is a galaxy and a kvort is a kvort.
