Hey everybody. I think its safe to say that many think that Fleet Operations needs an intro like many other mods and games. After months of work, I think I have something presentable for submission. I am still working on it and could use some input before the final product is finished. I am planning to add a montage of battle clips and to have a surprise for you at the end. Special thanks to Dominus for all the help and inspiration he has provided to this project.  :thumbsup:

UPDATE: Thanks to Blade, I now can convert game files into lightwave format. Now that I can pull stuff from the game, I am open to any suggestions on where to take this video. Thanks for all the feedback.  :thumbsup:

Now here are some Renders of some converted models.

wow, thats really great!

input:

1, just think it should have some FO specials, like the Excelsior MK 2 or something

2, the explosions should be slower, and need to have more debris. they just seem too fast, and theres nothing left behind.

anyway, I'm amazed, and don't think that I could even think about how to do something like this, nor add what I suggested :woot:  :sweatdrop:

I'd call it fantastic, but I hate understatements. Certainly good enough to justify ignoring the fact that it contains the most disgusting sight possible in Trek (Galaxy dying...).

You could include a brief shot of a lone Cube moving through the shadows somewhere, maybe?

Anyone know how to download from YouTube (VeohTV doesn't seem to work recently) and convert to .BIK format?

Beta = Placeholder.

Go to CNet.com and download the Youtube Downloader Program. Its a little slow, but it will download anything from Youtube.

Yes you can download a video from youtube using KeepVid: Download and save any video from Youtube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, iFilm and more! And .BIK I dont know. Thanks for the input guys. And just to let you know explosions are the hardest thing to accomplish in lightwave :S. You spend hours upon hours of editing and then to create the image takes days just for 5 seconds. In fact, rendering these scenes takes a realy long time. Usualy 3 hours minium and all you get is a few seconds.

You can also download Any Video Converter (A search for that should pull it up)  Works pretty well, and covers a lot of different file types that you could convert to once you download it.  Don't know if it has .bik.

Also, really nice, Funnystuff! :thumbsup:

Oh thanks Tyler. I guess having a fleet of warbirds decloak on a galaxy is out.

Looks really amazing i like the battle scenes and i think the music goes really well with it. I love the effect to the logo you did at the end. One minor thing is i dont like the camera jerking at 0:45 other than that its really great. btw its just a minor thing nothing huge.
