Thats something my father highly disliked about that episode. FERENGI having the balls to take on the top-of-the-line starship of that time, and the flagship no less. Tbh, par Best Of Both Worlds, whenever Riker's in command things seem to go wrong far too much.

By the 2360s, it was not uncommon to find a B'rel-class Bird-of-Prey stripped and relegated to a surplus yard. Ferengi DaiMon Lurin acquired two of these vessels, complete with cloaking devices, and managed to make them space worthy once again, after a few repairs and the addition of some weapons. (TNG: "Rascals")
I'm quite aware of Memory Alpha, but Memory Alpha also has the B'rel as a small ship with a crew of 12-24. Those were reused K'Vort Class images in that episode.

they re-used footage of a kvort but they were referenced to as b'rel class ships

Verbal reference is very unreiable; According to the crew, Defiants have 5 decks when they have 4, FC Soveveigns have 25 decks when they really have 24 and according to Worf, a Galaxy has 10 Phasers when it actually has 11 or 12.
No matter what they said in the show, the ship itself doesn't agree.

You'd think the fx guys would have at least a little knowledge of the models they're using. Did not do the research is bad on it's own, but horrible when you can't even do research within your own series. I'd say the B'rel will remain the official class of those ships. Always go with the script over the pretty explosions as to what's going on. As far as the acting goes, that's the most unreliable, wait for it in writing. Look up star trek movie mistakes on youtube, it's five parts. And I remember form part I that Picard said 24 decks, while Worf talked about decks 26 through 11 and decks 29 having some stuff with the Borg going on (I guess the Borg made more decks since 24 wasn't enuff?)
EDIT: Here's my order of importance for what is going on
1.Stuff explicitly written about the shows by the people who make the shows
2.Stuff explicilty said about the shows by the people who make the shows
3.Models
4.Special Effects
5.Things the actors do
6.Things the actors say
7.Things the unimportant actors say
8.Voyager

there are 3 types of bird of prey with b'rel being the smallest and also known as a scout class vessel.
the other 2 are a d12 bop which the duras sisters used generations im not sure of its classification and the kvort which is generally known as a battlecruiser

Only 3 known BoP-types, and they couldn't even get visual effects and speech that match... that's assuming the D-12 wasn't a pre-B'rel, which would make the mistake even worse...
Not much of a Voyager fan, I take it?

mistakes happen all the time for example kirk dies in generations and although scotty was on that ship in the tng episode relics the 1st thing he says is he bet kirk himself had got the enterprise to rescue scotty

Well, that one is kinda justified; after being in a Transporter for 75 years with some minor degredation, he'd understandably be a bit confused.

Yeah, thats what I chalked Scotty saying that up to. Even though he was alive and well, I mean come on, his friend degraded heavily, so obviously Scotty had to degrade a little bit too.

I like some of the episodes of voyager, but others were just horrible. Voyager pretty much is dead to me from the point Kes gets weird pyscho powers and 8472 show up out of "fluidic space." Star Trek with giant space destroying explodey particles ([sarcasm]that Janeway must steal and get rid of because she is so one to obey starfleet rules[/sarcasm]) as a transparent metaphor for god? No. Star Trek with warp 10 turning you into an amphibian who has been everywhere at once? No. Star Trek with transphasic torpedoes? Definitely not. It also had like three time paradoxes, all of which sucked. There were also episodes where they could have made it about the moral dilemmas and all that, but came up short (example being: episode having guilty until proven innocent and 7 of 9's faulty assault/experiment memories.)

I will always have a place in my heart for the Constitution. I particularly like the TMP Refit version.

I rather like the original Constitution. That (a little crappy) design is absolutely lovable. The TMP-refit is great, too, but not as great as the original. And the XI-remake... well... let's never talk about it again

On second though I kinda like the Nebula Class as well even if they do suck a bit! No love for the Galaxy Refit from The Best of Both Worlds?
