As far as favorite goes... probably the Excelsior. It was my favorite ship in the series and it serves a pretty awesome role in FO too. That and the fact that they used the defiant voice overs from A1 makes it all the more epic.

As far as best ship goes.... probably the Breen Battleship  :shifty:

I'd have to go with the Excelsior too. As I was growing up I hated this class along with (and especially) the Miranda because they were old and uncool. However, as I grew older the Excelsior sort of grew on me. I like the shape and proportions and it has a kind of cool retro look now as opposed to being just "old". Also, unlike the Miranda, it's still good enough to serve as more than cannon fodder. Functional, stylish and cool. If I had to command any Federation ship, it'd probably be an Excelsior, albeit an upgraded one like the Lakota.

I would say the excelsior II, because it looks unique and is a perfect killing machine: its pretty fast, takes quite a punch and throws enormous amounts of quantum torpedoes  into space.

What should one want more?^^

They were not B'rel, far too big. Besides, Riker was in command... a shuttle could disable the ship when he's in command.

For me, Galaxy-Class as well, hands down. I do like the Sovereign, but she and just about every other design out there come second to the Galaxy, in my eyes  B)

Again, size issues. Far too big; either the ship or the name was a mistake, and the ship size is harder to ignore.

quote from memory alpha

By the 2360s, it was not uncommon to find a B'rel-class Bird-of-Prey stripped and relegated to a surplus yard. Ferengi DaiMon Lurin acquired two of these vessels, complete with cloaking devices, and managed to make them space worthy once again, after a few repairs and the addition of some weapons. the reason for the size difference is that they re-used footage of a kvort class from a previous episode
