Pyramids, not Cubes.

Wouldn't it be fun to fuse 6 pyramids around a scube to get a diamond *ggg* We could extend this to construct stars. And snowstars could be build by composing 12 assimilators.

Wouldn't 2 Pyramids (1 on top of the other) make a rather basic Diamond?

Ah, didn't understand the post well it seems  :sweatdrop:

and sorry this has to be the 3rd time i mentioned it

but we could have 4 cubes make a smaller fusion cube

and no it wouldnt be a rectangle, see you guys keep on thinking of cutting ad normal 8 cube fusion cube in half, in stead of combining 4

just think of dividing a cube into 4ths 1/4 of a cube is still in a cube shape

Ray, that is not possible. The only way to get a big cube is from eight, not four.

Hands up anyone who's TAUGHT geometry before. *raises hand* I know what I'm talking about.

Get the lego out or something, you'll soon see. Unless you'd like to show us how you'd get a fusion cube from four, in MS paint or something.

A cube is a 3-dimensional object, symmetrical on all 3 dimensions.

To cut a line (1-dimensional) into equal pieces, you get 2 lines
To cut a square (2-dimensional) into equal pieces, you get four (x2 on x axis, x2 on y axis)
To cut a cube (3-dimensional) into equal pieces, you get EIGHT (x2 on x, x2 on y, x2 on z)

If you divide a cube into 4 pieces, you get four rectangle pieces twice the height of their length or width. Cut each of them in half and you get... EIGHT CUBES.

EDIT: See picture. Top one made of eight cubes. Other three show possible combinations of four. there is no way that four can make a cube, i'm afraid.

I think what ray320 was trying to say is that  a Fusion of 4 of the Borg Probes would equal 1 cube cube In size.A borg probe(rectangle in shape) roughly is 1/4 the size  of a cube so  4  Borg Probes X 1/4 the size of a cube = 1 full size cube.  Diamonds Fusing  in to a  fusion larger ship, the shape would depend on the Angle at the midsection of the Diamonds.Armada Fleet.Command had a mod called the   "Deamon Star" mod. Six Dimonds Could Fuse in to a  Uber ship that In time could Wipe the Board,But the Indivigiual Diamonds were Relatively weak,Till fused in to a  ship the " Deamon Star". Intergration could  be relatively interupted  easily. to prevent   fusion of the segements.

No, he said that...

You are correct that  8  smaller cubes are needed to make 1 larger Fusion Cube, each  smaller cube being  1/8 of a larger Fused Cube. but A Borg probe  would take 4 to make a larger fused cube .Since the borg probe is a rectancle.

Yes, I know that, in fact I said that in:

Atlantis wrote:If you divide a cube into 4 pieces, you get four rectangle pieces twice the height of their length or width.

But that's not what Ray keeps saying. He said that if you divide a cube into 4 pieces, you get 4 cubes.

add the fusion cube again for sure!

Also the galaxy class should have the separate option and the overdrive deflector array beam option.

And can you guys add the scimitar, even if its 1 vessel per Romulens. At the beginning you should be able to choose a Remain admiral who offers it.

cheers

FO team said no to the scimitar as anything more than an map object. (probably a good thing since all of its creators are dead, and its totally unbalanced)

I think it would be a good idea, whats a reason for not having it?
