Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

I know it was completly unbalanced and when u got one, you knew it was the end, the map was yours for the taking!
But i kinda miss it. Anyone else mis it to?

Kinda, but it doesn't seem to really be needed in FO since all of the borg ships are much more powerful than they used to be... if a fusion cube was to exist in FO.... i'd say there's nothing that any of the other races could do to stop it, short of maybe 8472 making a re-emergence or voyager coming along with a transphasic torpedo or 2
.

and could you imagine how complexed the intergration code would need to be to accomodate all the different module configurations and both of the avatars it would be far to complicated. Im guessing thats why the galaxy can not seperate asweell due to all the different ranks that there wud need to be a seperation and reintergration code as well as a stardrive and saurce code for each rank and avatar.

Don't miss it at all really: although I like its adaptable nature, it essentially "was" the real cube in AII. However, with shields and ridiculous beams it was not the pretty, and I have a feeling that the Borg in FO could kill that thing quickly.

I do miss the fusion cube actually. The only reason I miss it was cuz it recreated some of the epic moments from star trek. It took an entire fleet to bring one of those down. Though if a fusion cube did exist in FO it would be uber powerful...so much so that it alone could wipe out 3 players simultaneously I think. Also a FO fusion cube would be so complex to code I bet that it have glitches til all good things came to an end. Im not saying it couldnt be done but it be a codeing monster as well as a battlefield monster.

nope. do not miss that thing. the present cube in FO more than compensates both in firepower and defense.
essentially there without fusing.
essentially there without fusing.

What are you looking for a rectangle?

The fusion cube was fun in stock armada, but given the fact that the scale of borg vessels in FO is much more accurate, it would essentially block out the screen.
And even the existing borg ships are so big, that there are serious problems at times to move them the way you want them to, serpicus knows what i mean (jumping cubes on nirvana 2).

I would not be opposed to the Borg Detector's(6) being able to fuse in to a cube. One shipthat I liked a lot was in a mod for Regular Armada. the Ship mod was the Deamon Star . You could Fuse 5 weaker Diamonds in to one Massive ship. With 2 (Deamon Star) ships you could wipe the map clear. However Intergration took ovet 60 seconds and Any attack would cancel the intergration. An Argessive opponet could stop the Building of one .

Personally I think fusion cubes have no place in Fleet operations. If you miss them, you should get some texture upgrades for Stock Armada 2 and play that (Not to be rude cus it is a great game on its own
). Fleet operations is completely different and in my opinion should stay away from the old concepts.

i must admit i never was a fan of Fusion Cubes, it just seemed a bit strange to me to combine vessels in this way.
