Assimilation may be a big part of the Borg, but it is also Slavery. A much worse one than simply making criminals mine resources. With the Klingons, it's no different than prisons in real life.

Seeing it this way, the light in my head is turning on again. To me, there still are some quite big differences between being just slaved and still being yourself and getting undead through machines implanted into the body as well as a collective mind planted in the head, but thinking on what you just wrote down, slavery in mention only isn't that bad to me anymore.

Can you imagine if star trek was done by the same people who did the A-Team. I can just see it now 50,000 phaser shots and none of them hit

Could you imagine Hannibal being the captain of the Enterprise?  He'd lean back in his seat with a stoggie in his mouth.  Worf would be replaced by Mr. T. (I pitty the fool!)
