ehhh.
Let's see how the noxter turn out. I'm not going to say anything more. But from what has been ventured here, we're taking a2 stock 8472 behaviour and applying it to the noxter.
Mr. Fantastic doing Sub-Zero's moves in Mortal Kombat. :pinch:

The Noxter should be quite different from 8472 ^-^

I take it that you didn't remember that Mortal Kombat is known for reskinning the same character with barely discernable color differences and a name change (aka one character was reskinned 6 times w/o any changes other than name and color)...  :whistling:

8472 and Noxter will certainly not be like that, and if they are, you can complain when the developers release more information (now we don't even know what hierarchy will be used) :D

I got an idea... i think the noxter should be able to build something like a breeding thingy in nebulas... cauz they live in space and they would used to the nebulas....just an idea....

However... that would mean every map would have to have a nebula... unless the Noxter generate their own, which would be cool  :shifty:

Stock 8472 can make temporary, specialised Nebula's and many mods have been released that can make any object (including Nebula's. It could be easily added to the Noxter.

Like they could have a breeding organism and it lives in or creates a nebula to help protect it...
while i creats other fighting organisms...
just an idea.. :)

or as a special weapon for defense... like it puts a nebula in your nest to heal and protect your nest for 60seconds

The Dominion is just a 'reskinned' Federation. Aside from thier methods, there is little difference. Literaly the Terran Empire under a new flag.

But that's cos it was intended to be so in canon :).
dont think even optec wants the noxter to be a reskin of 8472. So I dont understand why you want to live with noxter as a rehashed 8472 when even the devs are stating they want the nox to be unique with as little resemblance as possible to 8472.

I don't want an exact duplicate (Why would duplicate a race you like?), I just don't understand why your so against even the tiniest, most trivial similarity (Minus the 'living in space' bit).

Im not against the tiniest similarities. Scavenging with miners like A2 8472, having "mothers", larval evolution etc are not tiny similarities. They're pretty much the core of gameplay.
that is what i am averse to seeing regurgitated. Which optec too confirmed will not be simply lifted as is, but tweaked to a more unique noxter feel.

so im hoping :)

You wont have larvas like 8472 had, you wont even realy build your units :) lets see to it once i have more facts about their final gameplay

where can I read why you did implement noxter instead of origin 8472? I guess you have already disussed that, but I didn't find anything via search function.

lol.  :D  u can start with the "Noxter an 8472 clone thread"
there are others to be sure like the noxter base idea thread.

And if memory serves there are others too, but these 2 pretty much run the gamut of the "reasons" for not having 8472.
