its ok jan, i just hate that people get layed into people for silly things. i gess it wasnt up to me to defend anyone, like Skitzeh said we have admins for that.

I was just wondering something about the borg, I think it would be cool if they had their nexus as an all-in-one station. So they can do their research there, build ships and also upgrade defences. Just like real borg, that would be canon and really ****** great if u ask me :D

i suppose that could work if stations could do more than one thing at a time.
i mean build ships while researching weapon improvements and such.

Well I dont mean like 1 solid building doing everything, I ment more as these stations would be connected together via some tubes or something. There would actually be more stations but they would look like 1 solid one, u know only eye candy ;)

This is actually a great idea but this is where the limitations for A2 kick in. In A1 modular stations where possible, even if they did take a while to get right but A2 has a major clash of classlabels when you try and get a pod to build. Basically the way to do this would be with modular stations (I cant think of another way) and A2 doesnt support that. I would mention the name of another mod that is supposed to have a modular borg unicomplex that is really huge and does everything, I wont however mention its name for fear of causing the wrath of the admin on me :P

Khmmm u sure A2 doesnt support modular buildings? Would be nice to have something like that in FO though ;)

Modular bases are possible in armada2 I figured out how to do it while working on Twilight and after testing I found that it worked perfectly. The way to do it is a secret though. : )

Hm, I don't know how you stranded from textures to borg bases :P

We are currently working on the first steps of our global borg redo for v3. Yep, in some kind there will me modular elements in these new borg, also they will be quite different from what you are used to. We will introduce the first step of your event-based trigger system in v3 which grants a wide arsenal of possibilities and some of these new features will used in the borg redo. (of course they are not the only ones who will use these features. many of the new special effects or the Dominion Hyperspace Artillery for example are also the result of the trigger system)
Well enough know-how chat ^_^ The new borg should be much more "borgy" in booth starbase and starship construction (if you can find a different there).

and pls back to topic now or just open a new "Borg Bases" topic. People who don't visit the forums every day and just browse the forums from time to time don't have a clue whats going on ;)
