So we need a 3rd/4th avatar...
Post ideas and suggestions on new features or improvements here.

However, you can do with it just like you can with a wormhole. Just order your fleet through, ignoring the defenders. If they don't have enough forces there to insta-gib your fleet, you're in.
With the Borg's limited ship numbers, that's a very real risk.

so, we have the "Expand" Avatar.
A "Destruction" Avatar has been mentioned too, but honestly, this doesn't sound reasonable to me. Borg seem to use their weaponry to neutralize threats and then either assimilate or ignore them.
If you watch Wolf 359, the borg weaponry should deal way less hull damage and cause higher crew casualities/engine damage. THAT would be borg as we know it,

A "Destruction" avatar could be more focused on larger ships, but it wouldn't work it it was given something like a global weapons boost - that would be too powerful.
There could be a "Protect" avatar - we see several times in the show that the Borg sometimes place extreme emphasis on protecting something, like the transwarp hub in "Endgame" and building a sort of escape module for the queen in "First Contact". The obvious problem here is Borg ships are already hard enough to destroy, and to give them even a small defensive boost or a class that would do something like that could easily be overpowered.

Directive: Queen?
Can build Queen's diamond.. Give the Diamond some extra abilities?
Directive: Emissary
Locutus type emissary cube... some other crap?
Directive: Chaos
Remember what happened with Hugh? These Borg are independent. Don't act like the collective. Many things could operate differently. The borg Adaptor looks like Hugh's ships... could be a prime candidate for some changes.

bigger system value for all ships and more nodes per seconds (say 5 when not upgraded)

Having fun necroing threads? Man, this takes me back...
I think the next borg avatar should be Adapt, then Regenerate but Expand might be better than that one.

Here's a few ideas for more avatars...
Federation: Terran Empire, Starfleet Intelligence, Starfleet Museum (Use older TOS and TMP era ships and obviously upgraded weapons)
Romulan: Tal Shiar, Remans
Klingons: Ambassador Worf (Maybe a mix of Starfleet and Klingon ships and stations or Mixed tech ships without ally requirement)
Can't really think of one for the Dominion....
I'm thinking Terran Empire and Starfleet Musuem might be for multiplayer or instant action only....

I was thinking about this the other day and I came up with a few ideas.
Federation:-Exploration: Even in times of war the Federation strives to seek out life and new civilizations. This Avatar employs some of those ideals in combat.
Special units:
Luna Class: The Luna class was a vessel designed for deep space exploration. It's considered a deep space science vessel that could comfortably sustain it's crew during long deep space voyages. William T. Riker took command of a Luna class vessel called the USS Titan after the events of Star Trek Nemesis. It's role in the game would be a science vessel. Also it would be highly manueverable.
Vesta Class: The Vesta Class is a class introduced in the Star Trek Destiny novel trilogy. It appears to be a battleship around the strength of the Sovereign class (I'm not 100% sure on that). The class itself was the first Federation class to be given a fully functional version of the Quantum Slipstream Drive (as seen in Star Trek Voyager). Ezri Dax commanded the USS Aventine, one of the first Vesta class vessels during the events of the Star Trek Destiny novels. The Vesta itself would be given the Quantum Slipstream as a special ability letting it get from point A to point B. Of course this would be a massive drain on ship power and only a couple Vesta Class vessels could be on the battlefield at once.
Avatar Perks: Increased engine power and sensors? This would allow this avatar to expand or build up faster then the other avatars. It's drawback would be the lack of an offensive or defensive perk thus giving the avatar trouble in combat.
Possible avatar representation:
William T. Riker: Since Riker served on the Enterprise D, E and captained The USS Titan in his career, it would be logical to assume that Riker would be a major advocate for the Federation idealism of exploration and discovery.
Ezri Dax: She commanded the USS Aventine during the events of Star Trek Destiny and beyond. I think it would be reasonable to assume that she would continue to rise through the ranks of Starfleet after this.
Data: Yes I know he is technically dead due to the events of Star Trek Nemesis but in both Star Trek online history and the Star Trek Countdown comic (prequel to the latest Star Trek movie) Data was revived through implanting Data’s memories into B4's body. Why not use that part of history in Fleet Operations?
Other: I suppose it doesn't have to be a pre existing character. Really this avatar could use a lot of different representatives.
Borg: I think both Adapt and Expand are great ideas for the Borg. Perhaps Expand could use similar perks that I have outlined in the Federation Exploration Avatar idea. I would like to see an avatar where the Borg Queen is given much more importance in gameplay however.
Klingon: I like the idea of using Worf as a possible avatar for the Klingons. Also why not use Worf’s son, Alexander, as a possible Avatar? True he wasn’t exactly the greatest Klingon during the Dominion war but it is possible that he continued to rise up through the ranks after the Dominion war and became A highly respected warrior in the Empire. Aside from that maybe even Toral? Of course the Duras may already have enough representation in Fleet Ops already with TaQ’roja.
Dominion: Perhaps we could have Odo as a possible avatar. In times of war and conflict Odo has found it to be his unfortunate duty to leave the great link and bring support and morale to his Dominion forces. Of course you could use and Founder for this Avatar rather then Odo.
Unfortunately i cannot think of anything for the Romulans.

For the Romulans maybe you could use the Remans. Might've been already suggested somewhen but I thought it would've made some sense...

no to ezri dax, i dont like her. riker i dont like either, i personally prefer to think that 2 days after he took command of the titan, he crashed it into earth's sun (sol) killing all onboard, including troi.
odo was always a good guy, so his avatar for dominion may be more peaceful.
alexander was thick, but maybe he found his way later.
remans i dont think deserve to be in, they rebelled in nemesis and now they arent trusted at all. i dont think they are going anywhere near the controls of a ship. oh and welcome to the forum lii

Ya i suppose i gotta agree with Ezri. She was always meh to me. And jeez, poor Riker. Then again I can understand why people dislike him.
I still think that Data would make a fine avatar assuming he was revived in the Fleet Ops timeline.
Myles wrote:odo was always a good guy, so his avatar for dominion may be more peaceful.
I think that would be interesting. A reformed Dominion of sorts for Odo's avatar would be an interesting addition to the Dominion Avatars.
Myles wrote:alexander was thick, but maybe he found his way later.
I think there's potential there. He seemed to be a relatively skilled warrior in the alternate timeline presented in TNG. Of course we could only guess as to what extent though.

The most I can see for the Remans is a minor, unplayable faction. I would assume after the events of Nemesis the Romulan Star Empire would have come down hard on Shinzon’s supporters. Some Remans could rebel but I doubt they would have the numbers or resources to wage an effective war against the Romulans.

I'm not sure about a 'reformed' Dominion working for Odo, it's likely to take quite a bit longer to reform them than the relativly small gap between the Trek/FO timeline.
