Pirate Race.

I imagine a pirate race.
This pirate race has low technology but the ships are very fast and has increased boarding strength.
The Federation Centaur has Defense bonus in combat against Pirate because the "Remote Shield Control".

The Fleet will consist:
Pirate Asteroid Base:
Builder Atk 6 / Def 17 / Sys 8
Pirate Fighter Squadron (5 Fighters) Atk 13 / Def 20 / Sys 5 all stats div 5 Atk 2 / Def 4 / Sys 1 per fighter (1 Light Phaser per fighter)

Pirate Junkyard:
Pirate Corvette (Boarding Strength Increased)  Atk 8 / Def 8 / Sys 4 (2 Light Pulse Phasers)
Pirate Torpedo Corvette (Boarding Strength Increased) Atk 13 / Def 8 / Sys 4 (2 Light Photon Torpedos)
Pirate Assault Frigate (Boarding Strength increased) Atk 12 / Def 10 / Sys 8 (2 Pulse Phasers)
Pirate Raider Light Destroyer (Boarding Strength increased) Atk 15 / Def 12 / Sys 8 (1 Phaser +  1 Photon Torpedo)
Pirate Carrier (Boarding Strength increased) Atk 25 / Def 20 / Sys 18 (1 Pulse Phaser + 1 Photon Torpedo) Carry 2 Pirate Fighters squadrons.
Pirate Cruiser (Boarding Strength increased)  Atk 35 / Def 30 / Sys 25 (2 Pulse Phaser + 1 Photon Torpedo).

Turret:
Pirate Pulse Phaser Turret is weaker than Romulan Turret but cheaper.

Sensor:
Sensor Relay Satellite

The Pirate Faction begins with a number of Debris Points
To build a ship, is needed "Debris Point".
Every enemy ship destroyed drops "Debris Point" to the Pirate Faction.

The Strategy depends of Player if he wants to build large and expensive ships like Carrier and Cruiser or if he wants the Hit and Run + Boarding Tactics (Piracy) with lighter ships.

Not Necessarily.

The Klingons have an empire and military force. A Branch of Klingons are pirates but not all the race.

The Pirates are an independent race without military organization. They are Anarchist and in some cases Xenophobics.

Playable yes.

But you can put in map of 3 or more players as AI Player.

2 Human Players and 1 AI Player.

I would like very much play as Pirate.

I like the idea of An NPC faction of pirates that harass mining sets, but not as a playable faction. :innocent:

Playing as Pirate, with the resource "Debris Point" when you kill enemies ships, makes the faction grow progressively depending on the fight.

If the player doesn't enough destroy ships, the faction will be weak and won't evolve.

The pirates can't collect resources like the other factions.
The pirates need to accumulate debris to make a junkyard and build a ship composed of stolen parts.
