Galaxy Class- Once its vetted it uprates to a Galaxy-X status! It gains the third nacell and big front cannon. Gets increased speed and a cool deathray in front!

Well ... this post raises an idea by me with some Refits: As example the Galaxy class - if it got to the 2-stripes gold status, you´ll have the opportunity by clicking the vet status to change it to a veteran OR by clicking another button next to it the "Refit-Button" (whatever) to get instead of veteran Galaxy a Galaxy Refit. The old Galaxy class will warp out and a Galaxy Refit will warp-in killing two or more, or less than that, support points.

Just an idea

btw: nice post anyway to get these posts regarding to the vet abilities together

Better yet......... just pay to refit a galaxy to a venture once it's gotten vet status, then it starts over rank wise as a base venture refit.


That, or just make Galaxy's refitable to ventures from somewere earlier in the rank structure.

I did NOT mean the venture Refit as I understand it when I researched the Galaxy class too. I meant this Refit (known as Entente class too):

btw: It´s not the best odd with this appearance of the refit but it keeps some style in the game. Any chances that some non-starfleet based ships will be added like the Galaxy-Cheyenne or Galaxy-Andromeda Refits (looks pretty cool - also attached)?

Yes, we know the Galaxy X class.

However it's only ever been seen in trek in an alternate timeline.

Plus its ugly as sin.

And those other ships are not galaxy class. They just have their saucer built in the same general style, same as with teh Nebula class.

That was an alternate timeline created by Q, and manipulated by Q in order to test Picard.  Everything in it is suspect, including Picard and Dr. Crusher getting married and then divorced.  And Data painting a gray streak in his hair.

Yes it was an alternate timeline, but Q didnt necessarily create it. At the end Riker asks Picard why Q had shown Picard and let Picard remember everything that had transpired during his "test" and Picard tells him that perhaps Q did it as sort of a gift to keep them from making certain mistakes in the future. Im more inclined to believe that it was just on possible future, but obviously one that did not come to pass. However just because the Enterprise D didnt get the refit doesnt mean that the Galaxy-X wouldnt show up, its possible other Galaxy class ships could have been updated to keep them serviceable. I mean its only like 35-40 years in the future if that in all good things, which means a refit to keep those ships would make sense. Look at the US navy battleships, they were built in the 1940's and were still in use as late as the early 90's (heavily refitted) so its not like its an unreasonable conclusion that some Galaxy class ships could me modified to X status.

And personally I think the Galaxy X looks sweet save for the weird things sticking out of the sides of the bride area.

I like the Galaxy-X along with its Europa Class sistership. The supercannon probably wouldn't fit in FO, though.
