Dom, you're wrong actually. There's a GLOBAL shield protection value within RTS_cfg.

There is a global value within RTS_cfg as well as the option to set it per ship

the line I use per ship/station in individual .odf files would be this

//Shield absorbs all damage until it's gone
shieldProtection = 1.0


1.0 means 100% shield absorption.

Any value under 1.0 is a  value of the damage the shields absorb.

The universal command for the config file is SHIELD_DAMAGE_PROTECTION.

No suprise, those root install config files have a boatload of neat settings to play with, easy to forget a few.

how about a 'multi-verse mod' you could have two avatars, good guys/bad guys. It would include ships from star wars, B5, SG-1, Atlantis, Galactica maybe even a few from Halo. I know there is a Halo mod in the works.

Good guys would be like: Some New Republic ships, some Interstellar Alliance, some Colonial, some SG-1 Earth and UNSC.

Bad guys: Galactic Empire, Shadows/Drakh, Goua'ld, Wraith, Cylon, Covenant.

It would be interesting to balance everything out. Maybe mix the tech and weapons up a little. Give an Omega-class destroyer some shields and turbolasers. The galactica would be like a huge battleship with lots of torpedo weapons and maybe some large turbolaser cannons. The bad guys are already powerful enough. Just put shields on the Drakh, Goua'ld, Wraith and Cylon ships.

I actually am also attempting to make a StarGate Mod. I am calling it StarGate Armada except there is not many Wraith, Ancients, Tau'ri, Replicator (Milky Way & Pegusas), Ori and Asgard ships and stations out there. I have a full Goa'uld Race but that is just because it is I found it at Armada Fleet Command.

I have attempted to get in touch with the people that were creating the now  many dead StarGate Mods to see if they could send me their models, SODs, ODF's ect. to finish the work but I have always got bounced back e-mails with the e-mail address being invalid.

So right now, I am forced to make two races, Ancients-Tau'ri Alliance and an enemies race with what I have for the Goa'uld, Wraith, Ori and Replicators and the Asgard as non-playable right now. This of course is a seperate stand-alone mod not in conjunction with my Star Trek Spanning The Generations Mod.
