Ugh, the monstrosity that Zeich flayed alive on his blog comes back to haunt the forums... :x

There another even bigger and much uglier one: Vod'Leh Class

It looks like a constructor but 3x the size of a Negh'Var!  :crybaby:

If it's actually that big then that is.....truly awful  :pinch: It looks like a cross between a Klingon design and the Daedelus-class from Stargate...

This is where 'selective reimagining' and sense comes into play, just like the JJPrise; the ship is not as big as the producers or screenshots like to pretend.

I really liked many klingon designs. Being not beautiful but efficient and looking somehow menacing. However, this Vo'Quf would just be a menace to a scrapyard-owner. It doesn't give me the feeling of watching at a klingon ship but on a ship thats being built of stolen klingon parts.

Was Quark the designer after getting rich by collecting and selling klingon battleship-wrecks after the war?

Vo'Quv_carrier - VoD'leh Class

What the designers say and what the model says are not always in agreement.

Thanks, I was misleadby the title...

You should read that kingmitch, it pretty much sums up the problem with the supposed size of the Vo’Quv.

Klingons don't need the Vo'Quv. That thing is sick and ugly. I would only allow that to be a klingon ship if it was a super freighter and not a carrier. I mean the Borg would have a heck of a time trying to assimilate that when it is about 3/4 the size of a cube!!. ??? I agree that the Negvar should be the flag ship, but if the klingons were to get something it should support the excessive destructive potential of the Negvar. Maybe the only Klingon ship that has excessive shielding and hull strength and its mission is to make other ships fire at it. This would benefit Taq's weaker Negvars and give Martok's Negvar better survivalability. The ship can't be a super vorcha, but it needs its own niche. I think a ship with a passive ability to lure or make other ships attack it first would be the only thing a Klingon fleet needs. Besides Klingons would love to be on that ship (AKA "Shoot Me Ship" :fish:) because every day is a good day to die.

A question: which variant of the Negh'Var is currently used.

If it is the standard i'd love to see the VoDieh or Endgame variant

Ex Astris Scientia - Variations of the Negh'Var

Currently FO uses two models which appear to be the Voodieh and the Endgame-Negh (at veteran rank only). The DS9 "original" does look different in some details.

All ranks also have 2 long spikes at the nacelle tips that don't appear to be on any of the canon varients, so there's a little originality thrown in.

The VoDIeH was the 'original' one, with the DS9 Negh'Var being a mod.
