i think i also remember them saying somewhere those will remain(federation stardock isn't really a superweapon.)

if you had the klingons, there was the repulsion wave, as a small defence against it. push it away before it can detonate, i personally think that the range on that thing sucked, when compared to how it was being described in the manuals & stuff.

i still think that strategy with the Jach'eng ship in place of the phoenix is better

Well, I always thought of superweapons as structures, personally. I guess that's what comes after playing C&C Generals so much.
