Map objects with unusual features

In fact, while we're on about The Arsenal of Freedom, how about adding the USS Lollipop as a Federation uber-dreadnought? It's just been commissioned. It's a good ship!

Oh yes the Lollipop I remember it well, I watched her commissioning ceremony, where Captain Redshirt took command.

I wasnt here to debate it. merely to point out theres no proof that a 700m vessel exists. Coupled with the many engineering articles on scaling such starships, the likely hood of that size of a vessel existing in its current form (unaltered bird of prey) is even more obscure. Its really a small matter, theres nothing wrong with the request either. I was in fact a big fan of the giant bird of prey for a long time, until I started reading into it and looking into the engineering problems with such a vessel. I had to give in to logic not fanboyism.

Id really like to see some of the frankenstein fleet from DS9

The federation defender class would be a nice addition. And if we can select non canon ships from other sources, The federation jubilant and the klingon d9 heavy eradicator from feyman cruisers would be nice additions too.

Do you have a direct link? I did a quick google, but I'm not sure if i got the correct ship/model.

Some of that stuff is pretty good, but other designs fail to overcome their painfully derivative nature. The Pentagon and the Titan form a good contrast in that regard, even though the 'USS Pentagon' is the most idiotic name since the ill-fated 'USS Rhombus'.

Heheheh, agreed. But let's not look at names here, he has some great work on his site. Some of which would be right at home in FO.

Perhaps some regular ships can be made with tractor beams and placed as map object.

An excelsior with a tractor beam or a vorcha or ambassador.

Personally i don't think so, but let's not get into that debate.
There is a possibility that the D'tai is a design different from both the BoP and K'vort and as such it could be an interesting map object.

Perhaps the 4-nacelle study models for the excelsior can be added as map object

To each his own.

A recent discussion about FO vs Stock A2 mods elsewhere (and the hostility between pro-con FO in the past) have given me an idea.

How about adding (with permission of the author's) 1-2 signature ships from other modifications/TC as map units as a tribute to great work being done in the whole community.

E.g. a signature ship from Sigma, Borg Incursion and or Art of War.

It may finally bury the hatchet.
