In this topic: Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Late game: pass through blocking triggers the possibility of a USS Pegasus with a Phase Cloak was brought up.

While many production ships cannot be given certain specials without jeopardizing balance, perhaps unusual variants of vessels can be created as map objects.

The purpose of this topic is to brainstorm about such possible map objects.

Let's kick off.

USS Tian An Men: Miranda class. Part of the tachyon blockade during the Klingon Civil War.[6] Went MIA while patrolling the Cardassian border during the Dominion War. Special: tachyon pulse for cloak detect.

USS Valiant. Red Squad Defiant Class

USS Lakota. Upgraded Excelsior class

USS Luna. Luna class prototype

USS Titan. Luna class commanded by Riker and Troi in Star Trek: Titan novel series (seriously who doesn't want to blow up Riker)

USS Phoenix. Carries out unauthorized attacks on Cardassian ships while under the command of Captain Benjamin Maxwell

USS Equinox. Nova Class stranded in Delta Quadrant

USS Prometheus. Prometheus Class (yes i know it has been proposed numerous times)

USS Voyager with Isokinetic canon. Similar to Quantum pulse. Possibly fired from special energy in which case i propose an increase in system value.

Not a federation design, but possibly interesting USS Dauntless

Chang's Bird of Prey: fire under cloak.

Various assimilated federation/klingon designs with borg weapons.

Let's hear your ideas.

Crystalline Entity: Invisible dogfight weapon only damaging shields, auto-assimilator that cannot pass shields.
Terran Warships: TNG-era, Klingon-style weapons.
USS Premonition: Temporal Stasis Field.

Galactus: Just looks pretty with a stupid hat.

yes yes yes yes :D

awesome topic.

crystal entity sounds fun.

i think lakota refit is gonna be added as a gameplay element, being the veteran refit of e1s.

i propose the slightly op, but only map object, cardassian orbital weapons plats.

maybe a super kazon carrier of death from caretaker.

Probably already proposed:
Hutet - DS9: Dominion Wars
Heavy Shielded troopship.

Achilles - DS9: Dominion Wars
Scaled down on the weapons or it would almost be a mixed tech dreadnought, but as map object it could be viable.

Never existed, but Warship Voyager - Memory Alpha, the Star Trek Wiki
Scaled down on weapons. roughly Sovereign speed, high system value, mixed federation borg weapons. Again only map object.

Edit: Not sure if it has my preference, but i'll mention it:
Stock Armada 1 & 2 vessels with their stock Armada 1 & 2 specials.

I am diggin this thread Andre. I like the Cardassian platforms, Chang's BoP, and Equinox. The Prometheus and Premonition are already there under - Federation - Uncommon Stuff.  In fact the Premonition's special works.

I want to see Krenim ships. A Caretaker array would be nice too. And I want to see a Defiant modified to carry Quantum Pulses.

The Krenim Time Ship is already on the Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Project Progress

Low priority, but on it nonetheless.

Yes, but I didn't say Promonition Class; I said USS Promonition. That one isn't there.

Romulan Probe:

Uncontrollable, launches from a Planet map object that's basically a fighter-carrier.  There will always be 1 probe, it will move out cloaked and attack while cloaked, every time it kills a ship it creates a false image of that ship over itself.  If it's detected ships will fire on it instead of the copy.  When the probe is destroyed, the planet launches a new one with a short cooldown.

Sorry - I missed that detail. Do you have in mind some special feature/look for the USS Promonition or just have the name?

In that case we need to bring back the 8472 planet buster  :woot:

Just the name, though I always thought the Timeship abilities should be unique to that particular ship rather than being the class norm.

Kohlar's battlecruiser would be pretty cool. Give it triple fire torps and a faster cloak time.

D'tai Class - Specs

A battleship sized Bird of Prey

And this one: Cravic Ship - Specs

Someone tell me why it is far easier to propose vessels from new/delta quadrant races than to grab unusual designs from the races ingame already.

Not sure if you're intentionally trying to be ironic, but the Cravic ship is from the delta quadrant.

I'd like to see the d'tai too. A norexean sized bop, that would be awsome.
