interesting, what else do you think would be wrong with this idea bigmachk?

It wouldn't be any different than the susa in that regard, and how powerful it would be would depend on the system disabling and just how powerful it ends up being in the end. Moqbara only lasts for about 15 seconds anyway.

With the right fleet 15 seconds will take down a cube.

Anyway, I'd like it to have some serious downsides at the end of its run - even if it takes down a Cube, it'd be nice to see a drifting Klingon fleet that has to limp home due to all the damage they've incurred. No telling whether the weapons technology will fail in the middle of a battle

My suggestion for the K'tinga was that they'd ramp everything back up to full combat spec (on an aged ship that's been having the maintenance for a cargo scow, not a warship) and for a few seconds, it would be a decent ship to use, but it gets a thing like a graviton mine on it that does constant damage until either repaired...or it just explodes.
(Because that old rust-bucket just can't take the stress anymore, so the K'tinga either has to basically stay near a shipyard at all times as a base defense force, or you just have to accept that if you want it to fight, it's gonna die, even if it wins.)

Guess I didn't have any particular ship in mind, as I just thought it'd be neat as an aura or castable effect (as I mentioned in the first post)
. Maybe Bird of Prey or something.

Well, which ship it can be used on is not that important yet anyways. It's about the idea right now, details can be done if the devs would consider that to be included

I personally think it wouldn't be that overpowered actually. Especially if the battle takes place far away from the next repair yards it could turn out very dangerous to even use that special, because in the worst case you could lose all the affected ships by loosing life-support and so on.
