Klingon Overload Idea

Perhaps a special weapon for the Klingons - essentially an extension of Last Ditch Assault with more... drastic effects. :badgrin: . Basically either castable or aura based (on the push of a button). Could be useful with specific types of Klingon ships as well.

Dexter Maneuver (;) ): "Drives up to 10 nearby Klingon crews into a frenzy: Klingon engineers supercharge the weapons and overload the dilithium matrixes. Nearby Klingon ships do 100% (or some number) increased damage for 1 (or some number) minute while their warp-cores degrade. At the end of the time, weapons are disabled as all conduits are ruptured. At the end of two minutes, if the Klingon ships do not retreat to a shipyard they start losing (i.e. breaking) random subsystems due to the stress (this could be indicated with a cooldown timer of some sort). Cloaking is disabled while the effects of this ability are in action. Klingon warriors do not retreat when in the heat of battle!

Similar things have been proposed in the past, but just thought to nail this down as a feature request :)

I like it, im inclined to think it should be a toggleable thing. Basically if you leave it on too long your ship will blow up or your crew will be in such a frenzy that they will not follow any of your orders all they can do is FIRE.

This might be a nice replacement for the kbeajq's special weapon.  Instead of just a point and click weapon, it would be nice to see some extra power come through the main disruptors.  And the taqroja one could still do extra damage vs destroyers!  Maybe instead of breaking subsystems, they are simply disabled for a time.  So you do more damage, but it's like having a weak version of the polaron field on your ships. :blush:

Hell if I know.  Most Klingon specials end up being about massive surges.  Are they trying to compensate for something? :whistling:

You do remember what Worf told Wesley about Klingon courtship rituals, right?  The woman howls, and then throws things at the man.  Heavy things.  If he survives, she attacks him.  If he can beat her, while injured from having large heavy objects thrown at him, THEN she'll give him a chance at a relationship.

While I do like the idea i think it would be overpowered as people will stack this ability with the special building ability to hit like a truck.
