Ideas for FO 3.07

A mixed tech avatar is silly, it defeats the purpose of creating a mixed tech system. Additionally, why worf and not Picard? Borg or why not Odo and get Dominions? etc. You'd be surprised how many overlaps there are like those. Defectors and such.

I like the Nova, but would it replace the Newton? Hey Optec any reason why scouts cant Rank up?

As for fighting in different eras... Thats silly, FleetOps has a plot and a setting; doing what you recommend would ruin that.

I meant third avatars being planned like the other two (I assume that your post was pointed at Pappy63's). I think the Nova is planned as a map object actually--but another Federation ship is entering the seen... probably to take the place of the Akira (which I think is becoming a battleship/heavy cruiser of sorts with its torpedo launchers). Scouts can't literally level up because no odf's are there for that. My guess to why they aren't allowed to level up is because they are scouts: they don't have powerful weapons and aren't expected to be in combat situations.

lol at plot and setting, just thought it'd be cool,    would like to see all borg ships be able to transwarp tho

I know this may be a bit late, but I'd like to see the plasma leak animation added back in. And the damage indicators (red parts indicating a system is offline) too. Helps do damage control in a battle with multiple ships, and the plasma leak animation helped me see ships who have decided to go wandering off...

ADD: Oh, and bring the Steamrunner back!

Hi DarkSpy87,

The Steamrunner is still in the game, but is a random warp-in (along with the Ambassador, Excelsior, Galaxy and Nebula classes) available from the Fleet Command structure.

I think the Oslo Class would be a great ship to add because It shares many componets of the Norway and the Akira class starships It uses a Norway type Saucer  section with a Akira style Star drive so the  ship would not be too  far out  of line of what already is present in the game now. It would ad a welcome punch to the Fed.   As for every race having a third Avitar  I would love to  have it happen. However I feel  personally not every  race should get a third Avitar  at the present time  due to  the massive upgrades needed in the odf files.The time needed to upgrade to a third Avitar might be spent  else where more productively else where.But it would be nice down the line as an option.

like the idea of bringing back plasma and other materials leaking from ships when systems are down. would really like to see damage graphics to ship models when hulls and/or systems are compromised.

Yes! what happened to those? there used to be really cool purple and green ones in 3.0 PR i believe.
