After taking a look through the ODFs I'ved descovered a constellation class. Edit the shipyard to build it if u like. The file is labeled federation_constellation or constitution I forget which. Perhaps is the original tos enterprise.

Second of all, I NEVER attacked u on the subject. U've derailed 2 threads because of this. I may have called the ships, old ugly rustbuckets but never did I call u anything. Nor have a derailed one of ur threads out of sheer spite. People like new ships, advanced tech. And it doesn't have to be right next to a base it could be placed anywhere in the map. It could even be gaurded by npcs

Third of all, I might make a few concept ships for this race today or tommorro.

I just had an idea, their strongest ship, is almost completely organic with the exception of some metalic parts and crystaline parts, It has a beam weapon that assimilates the ship design of something then it can dock with the starbase and then the starbase can build that ship design, with the same costs as it would for the other race. That would rock. Would be alot better than trying to get the AI to assimilate propperly. During this time the ship would have shields down and be imobile. To balance things out, I was thinking an energy based ship, but that sounds a little hard to model.

Actually Admiral by saying what you just said, your just continuing it. I just finished what I said but if you want me to keep saying stuff fine be me, this could go on for quite a while.

here is a back story I developed for the Cy-Gen.

In the darkness long ago existed a race known as the cygen, a name that made races cower, a race that over shadowed even the most powerful. They caused the complete exinction of over 4 major empires, they defeated all who oposed their rule, they devoured race after race after race. Their ships were designed with special bio/synthetic technology. They assimilated their enemies and use their own technology technology againts them. They conqured the delta and gamma quadrents long ago. But low a disaster occured, upon their homeworld of Saurok'Undun their lust for power had brought them to the threshhold of technology, they had learned how to tap into the infinite power of time, using their own sun's energy they constructed a superstructure around it capable of harnessing temporal energy. Their attempt failed, and their star collapsed into a black hole, it tore apart their entire home. without the homeworld the fleet went into a state of chaos, and destroyed itself in a 100 year feud A few escaped through a temporal device, into the future, into the gamma quadrent. They now rise from the ashes of their torn empire to gain vengance againts the races who now inhabit the galaxy

I also developed a concept for the starting wormhole generator, btw, using it to get more motherships drains all special energy, it regens very slowly. To balance it out even more. Heres a perspective view, it's around 300 polygons

just had another idea, jump gates, again like in B5. They would construct large unarmed weak hulled ships, they must build a station on the other side before any other ships can use the jump gate. As for avatars, I can think of 2 factions

Coriak: This faction beleives in the old ways, the old time, highly hostile, they rely more on organic technology, and thus build a more organic tree, though less advanced and less powerful than their oposing faction, they have an extremely high build rate and can construct "the Leviathan" A ship that takes ten credits, a massive almost B5 shadow like craft. Capable of using the theyleron weapon (what? I like theyleron stuff, no one in the universe is supposed to be able to come up with this stuff besides a bunch of reman rebells) a massive beam that destroys the crew of a vessel, and then beams crew aboard to take controle of the vessel, along with an arsenal of fighters that it can build, it is the ultimate ship. While building or firing the beam, sheilds are down, cloak is disabled, and the ship becomes imobile. The hull is week about 300 strong, the shields when up however are around 500. The special fighters are not equiped with cloak, however they fire heavy (slow and easy to dodge, yet cause heavy 50 damage each) graviton based torpedoes (no beam weapons) at their enemies. The fighters can be killed in 1 hit yet are constructed in 4 seconds. They also use the crew from the leviathan, this faction's large vessels lack wormhole generation with the exception of the experimental demor class. The wormhole lasts for 20 seconds and their is a 40% chance of collapse, so there will be a 40/60 thing wether vessels traveling inside with be destroyed mid way or not

Mehalden: A new faction that is rising, though smaller, their ships are more advanced and heavily armed, they are looking to a way of peace, yet are haulted by the majority of the empire which wishes for nothing but death. Trained heavily in melee weapon combat, their boarding parties are extremely strong. They have 2 special ships, both taking 5 credits to build. The first being the temporal nebula generator, the second being "the ONE" a large craft bigger then a cube capable of assimilating tech, going back to a large shipyard and having that shipyard being able to build the assimilated craft.

hm.. really interesting ideas... what type of nebula would the ship create? a devastating like klingons in a1? cause that wouldn´t hit the enemy hard.. but i dont know what u´r planning on this one. so i´m just askin ;)

I'm not a modder but their interesting. Kinda seems like another super-ship mod though.

I've tried to make their ships balanced yet very powerful.
