I would like to assist with the project, I can model starships. Though my texturing skills are a bit poor. And I have no animating skills
Race Ideas
Cy-Gen: A new species of aliens, coming from a dimension far far way, a long time ago. Their ships a partialy mechanical, partialy organic. In a sense their ships are of a cyborg design. Their ships have a crew and are boardable. Their ships use beam weapons, but lack torpedoes. However with all these disabilities, they have some large advantages. They can assimilate ships in a similar fashion to the borg, except they transfer no crew. Cy-gen ships have no teleportation system, however their starbases do. Most Cy-gen ships have a wormhole system that acts like tranwarp, yet uses only a quarter of the special energy. Cy-gen ships have no warp capability. The beam weapons are all long range. Some ships can use a melee attack for close range combat. Cy-gen ships have shields, though assimilated ships, do not. Cy-gen also have an undetectable cloak. The cy-gen player starts with 2 structures, a rift generator, the mother ship then comes out of the rift, the mothership builds basic construction ships and repair ships and acts as a formidable slow moving defence base, it lacks wormhole capability for balancing. The construction ships can build a mining factilies, turrets, and starbases. A starbase can then build adv construction ships, and basic ships. Adv. construction ships can build the rest of the structures including:
Shipyard- builds all advanced ships
Rift generator- opens a rift, then brings motherships from the alternate dimension
Developement center-builds pods for special weapons
Reactor- Small structure that regenerates all nearby ship's special weapons/sheild energy, when it is used all of it's own special weapon energy is drained. It takes quite a while to rebuild.
Temporal nebula generator- A medium size structure that creates a temporary temporal nebula, all ships inside it loose sheids and are slowly damaged, almost like a matura nebula ships are also slowed down inside it.
Deconstruction center- Turns assimilated ships into resources
Upgrade design center- gives the basic upgrades

More credits for advanced technology
Return of the tactical fusion cube
Stronger command cubes
Return of the cardassian race
return of planets and colonization
return of singleplayer campeign changed a little to fit the new mod changes
Stronger romulan vessels

Welcome to the forums. That race is pretty cool cept it might be kinda overpowered unless you made some ujustments. The cardassians are comming back with the dominion. I dont think their bringing back planet colonization or Tac fusion cube. I dont think they want more credits and are going to work on campaign mode in a future version. I would also help mod if I knew anything about modding. I once tried to mod C&C tiberian sun 5 years ago and make everying invinsible and cost 1$ but it made my game crash although I did have some success. Ever since then I havent tried and I know no one can teach me. Back on subject, I personally would love to see spieces 8472 replace the uncannon noxter race or even this new race he just thought up. They sound very similar.

Well, I think that the FO race que is full. However, that race does sound cool... If it was modified to fit the FO balancing system. Sounds too powerful.
Some tips:
FO Has no visible Research pods.
There is no hope for TFCs. They are just plain and simple unbalanced.
This has been said again and again. The Cardassians are an NPC race.
Planets and Colonization will not make it back in. Planets will be backround objects.
The Borg are being rebalanced in B3.
The Single-player campaign might return sometime.
The Romulans are quite balanced the way they are.
EDIT: The FO team is not accepting new modders unless you have some special skills. At least they weren't a couple of months ago.

huh? I never said anything about research pods, and yes FO does, it does build visible research pods. I've seen them with the borg race. Well every race had a superweapon, but since u removed all the the other superweapons I guess it's not suprising. I'm sorry if I sound stupid with this question, why no planets? I hope the situation has changed, I'd realy like to atleast help with 1 race.

I dont think their planning to make the planets colonizeable, i can sympathize with the FO team on this because it makes more sense to get recruits from freighters dropping them off at stations. I do think it would be cool to put planetary weapons on planets if they ever do get colonizable, huge phaser strips, large torpedo launchers, attack fighters, that would be awesome. I think that or making the ship from ST4 that disabled some of the federations ships around earth that would constantly fire temporal weapons at any ship it sees would be cool.

Realistic Planets aren't possible with the FO Engine. And only the Borg have visible Research Pods. And Superweapons just ruin the balance of the game.

ah sorry for being late, i was busy a few days.. doing a-levels, you know? 
mh, well that race sounds interesting.. perhaps there will be something similar as a non playable race (i always look for some "demon" races for the fluidic space environments for later betas

well about the borg:
they will get a complete redo for beta4 i think, for beta3 a few balance fixes must do it
about the romulans:
yep i think the romulans are also balanced.. but they got a few changes for beta3, too

The noxyer will be an npc race next beta or not in it, They just didnt fit to well, niether did 8472, most organic ones dont.

why not, why does every race have to be some humanoid based civiliazation with normal metal built ships and normal old weaponry. No offense, this is an incredible mod, I just think organic races are cool and deserve to be playable, I also found some breen stuff, is that ever going to be playable, I'd love to play as breen, Muahahahahahha

well a playable race needs much more time to do than a non playable race, and there are no plans to increase the ammount of playable races

Leave the FO race que as it is!!! It sounds good now. Too many races = Bad.

I dont mind one organic race in this game. In star trek there is only one organic race that comes to memory. I do miss the species 8472, they fit in real well in A2.
