Apart from that, the only other argument you could even offer was a big picture of Jesus. Hell, even that has a counter:
EDIT: "For whom it concerns: I'm kind of sorry about this one.
In a 3v3 where my team is losing.... im stupid because i let 1 of my opponents build 2 HSA that he hides behind his much bigger fleet? are you a retard or just act it? gj regardless.

you had almost 30 vorcha. If you consider yourself losing at that point. WTF?!
"Losing is when you let your opponent build more than a dozen of ANYTHING."
But when it's YOU with the spam fleet and you still lose...
Hell, I don't really care. Keep an eye out for my tourney, and sign up for the sake of $$$ to the mod.
And yes, I actually have received monetary compensation for pretending to be mentally challenged once, due to certain circumstances. Details will not be provided.

Wouldnt matter if i have 40, none of my allys had any ships left the teams were pretty unbalanced to begin with, the 3 opponents outnumbered me 10 to 1, my vorcha could kill all 3 bases easy but not the their fleets so i was losing.
But of course that couldnt happen since the HSA made them all dissappear.

cool it kestrel, he as as much right as you to post.
@ prof j: think you went too far with the religious joke, some christians could easily take offence to it.

veiling an insult in a question is just as bad as actually saying it straight. if you cant attack his points dont just call him names. 1) it's pointless anywhere on the internet, 2) its against the forum rules and will probably get my thread locked.
i think everyone involved here should just take a little time to cool off. before you say/do things you will later regret.

Well, bad team balance does happen...
Best thing to do at that point is to send the suicide squad into the wild black yonder, snap a few screenies and start a new game. I guess that personally, I really hate games that drag on, and I'll even do crazy stunts to get a new one going. For awhile I took notes on players I played with, and against. Some people just don't like to play teamie, and it'll cost you. (You'll probably never re-earn my trust, Xerjel)
Jesus: I said I was sorry about that. But that's the dumb way the world works: For every point you try to make, there's going to be people to make a counter-point, and the only way to co-exist is to accept that.

Short break... I gave an argument and it was taken down with an insult? Why wasnt any of my arguments taken down with conter-arguments, why was an objective post taken personally? Something is really wrong in here... but, nevertheless, my post stands until its countered by conter-arguments. And if this doesnt happen, take your insults back from where they came, dear Kestrel.
Back to topic:
When I have 30 Ver'cha, I have at least one ion-storm-unit in my backhand to do a hammer/amboss tactic.

if you dont want rules quoted to you stop breaking them

yup, and ive regretted losing my cool every time. you have made the common fallacy here of saying i cant criticise you for something i have done myself. i can criticise you, because i can criticise myself.

blah blah blah, what do you want, victim support? somebdoy call whine-1-1 and get a waaaaambulance.

people are gonna insult you (and me and nearly everyone else) on the internet, you can either get angry and retaliate and make things worse, or keep your cool and be rational.
Kestrel wrote:so bugger off.
that isnt helpful at all.

I didnt ask for victim support if someone insults me they will get insulted back, it couldnt be simpler, deal with it. Rational insulting or irational insulting makes no difference to me, just depends on wether iv consumed my daily intake of alcohol or not.
But to drag this topic away from the cycle its now going down, my view on this subject is simple, the HSA is already very powerful and does not need any more fire power, the area of effect is too large in my opinion and when the weapon researches are done 2 of these things do incredible amounts of damage for something so cheap and so quick to make so no i dont think this HSA needs a torp or beam weapon to go with it, getting in close is about the only advantage we have with fighting this thing.

Ah, no worries. Its only feigned hostility. In reality, the "Rusty-Blame-Game-Merry-Go-Round" Is a fun and historic past-time.
I'm going to go back to lying on my floor now.

well, back to the topic, how about putting minimum range for HSA. Basicly when you see HSA, you want to destroy them, but players will fire on their own HSA, so they they can take out as much enemy ships as possible. So even decloaking on HSA is not a good idea. But with minimum range will make it more interesting. In 3vs3 or 4vs4, at the end sometimes winning team has to decide who will sacrifice fleet to take out the hyperspace, before the finnal push. And thats kind of...

now THAT I can agree with. I don't know if it would be hard to code, or if it even follows canon (jem hadar being willing to nuke themselves for victory) but an HSA should not be able to target itself. The low cost of the vessel can be justified by the long tech tree to reach it, but HSA's nuking themselves feels like a way to further leverage that low cost and exploit it.

i could live with minimum range. maybe the hyperspace vortex thingy has a minimum distance.
