GUYS, get back to the point! this is not about the borg, and this is not about the ship, who cares what it looks like!

the point is his idea, and i like it alot, it seems just like a fed thing, it would have to repair a little bit but not alot, of hull, weapons, shields all of that stuff seeing as there healing the crew, personally if it was always on, it might not be balanced, cus you could just put a bunch of these in one spot with repair and support, and kill everyone, but if it worked like the aegina, did in stock, where it has that blue beacm that spreads out in a circle, that healed and restored crew, and did a little bit of stuff for sheilds and hull and systems, then that could work

i like this idea alot

I like this too,

There is no way a ship is supposed to look, it all comes down to what you personally like and I like this ship too.

classic and classy

You stay classy, San Diego   :pimp:

I use a large fleet of Cubes with maxed out everything but weapons (no weapons upgrades but holding beam) and put a hold on the enemy starbase that renders it helpless, send in an invasion fleet comprised of Spheres and 3,4 worthwhile Cubes to disable shields and kill everything in sight. In short: A fleet of Pyramids and Cubes with maxed out defensive capabilities and Holding beams will help destroy any base.   But back on topic, please.

Wow, Ray. No spelling errors.

Anyway, the Hope-class should double as a tug for vessels that are beyond field repair and require assistance from:

a) A Starbase Repair beam that only effects Engines, and
b) it then goes to a repair facility that, well, repairs it.

Beyond field repair should be considered by:

Engines are destroyed,(black)
Weapons are destroyed,(black)
Sensors are destroyed,(black)

etc.
Black subsystems cannot be repaired by a Hope (although it could replenish crew if life support is destroyed ;) ) or Newton. Hope vessels, although less limited then Newtons (20 for Hope, 10 for Newton), have only bare-bones repair abilities, but can tow a crippled vessel home at warp. A Starbase will then repair the black engines or life support, and the vessel will then go to the Yards automatically to be repaired.

Maybe the nanite adaptation could be a Borg mixed tech upgrade.  Kinda like the battle tractor beam thing.

Megaman, I love all your ideas. I wonder if they will be considered.

So did you.

Why are you two making comments about Ray's spelling anyway? What does it matter?

Would the Olympic Class be a good replacement for the Newton?
