For the Excalibur class they have green nacells because it was designed to be a ship that used Transwarp. It could easily be included in fleetops, you just have to change the color from green to the regular blue.

And I just want to say that most ships in here looks slightly ugly. Some of them are way to thin and other's, well, it's like some Akiras decided suddenly "I wanna be a Sovereign!" But on some Sovereign make-up and danced around singing, "I am a Soveregin! I am a Sovereign and you aren't!"

Why can they just use the ships that are already on screen? Just to use an Example, the Canaveral Class. Why the **** did they have to create a new long range scout ship? There was a perfect one they could use and it was Canon. The Nova class! Sure, it's a sience vehicle but it could still be easily used as a scoutship. And all the abilities the Canaveral has the Nova could have just as easily. And let's be frank, the Nova looks much better.

Before you start to yell at me I know that there aren't enough modernd Canon ships to make a complete strategy game and a few have to be invented but still, look to the Movies/shows before you start looking at the net. And when you find them, try to pick ships that looks like it evolved naturaly and not ships that goes against the Star trek designes.

Yes, I have looked at the moves, the show, and, heck, even the Animated Series! The fact remains that THERE ARE NO CANON FEDERATION DREADNAUGHT CANDIDATES!!! As much as I don't want it to, one HAS TO BE MADE UP. If you don't like the ones I've posted here, go find some more. It's fine with me. Just don't go bashing what I've posted without finding some yourself!!!

the Excalibur Class is a nice looking ship IMO and should be included as a map object.

like [=!=]RedShirt said out of all the ships on the market cannon or not the best models should be in FOs.

The mod is utterly fantastic and leaves all others standing. not because it includes only cannon ships good god only knows its got tons of un-cannon ones in it, but because of the quality of its content. the ships/map objects upgrades and AI tweeks have made the game great, so much so that fleet operations looks like an offical armada 3.

this section is open to peoples ideas and creative vents, but like so many ive seen any idea that are posted here are met with 3-4 people just posting rude and offensive comments.

what someone should do is have a look at ALL the models out there federation/borg/klingon/romulan or other and take a list of where they are avaible and a screenshot of them. with a "master list" the developers can take a look and say yes/no on each of them. this will end the waste of reposts and rude comments.

the only thing i don't like about the design is the warp pylons attach to the nacelles at a point that seems a bit high (or foreword rather). Look at it and tell me it doesn’t look a bit unstable. other than that i like it.

Or we could keep the Canon Federation Dreadnought, the Galaxy instead of trying to find a non-canon one.

We already HAVE the Galaxy class in game, oh bright one.
What do you want it to do, fill two rolls?

Hence my comment, we have a canon dreadnought already in game, theres no point in a fan made one.

You obvoisly did not read my above post. The Galaxy is already in use, and it also tends to be useless in combat situations. Any smart player would spent their credits on steamrunners OR DREADNAUGHTS instead!

Well actually Galaxy as it is a FREE ship is VERY VERY useful during combat. It has very short reload times and so is a extremely strong opponent in combat. Plus the special weapon is one of the best in the game.

Nope don't get the decent as it is, the federation stratagy works much better on cruisers and light battleships then it does on Dreadnaughts (which is really the same thing it is a facny way of saying battleships) so no A dreadnaught is not needed, which is why I would much rather see the Prometheus a really strong cruiser, remeber in the Trek Universe bigger is not neccicarily stronger, evidence you ask well I suggest you watch this series deep space 9 and then see this ship the defiant drop the search for a new dreadnaught it isn't needed it never was, all the feds need is to drop the un can decent in favor of a battle cruiser like the prometheus

what about the iowa and the Yammato in KA? they were dreadnoughts (or as they called em' "battleships").
and a dreadnought isn't just another word for battleship. it's heavier and far more Threatening.
