hehe well Hypercube that's one way of looking at it. Just wondering though, isn't "it all ends with a blue flash of light, kneel before the power of the United Federation of Planets." kind of a non-Federation kind of thing to say? So militant and aggressive. Picard would be insulted by your heavy-handedness and stuff. hahaha

well i'm an agressive kind of a federation commander , and the federation does kick ass so KNEEL, KNEEL NOW!!!

well teh whole defiant ship design is an enigma. i mean the warp core is the smallest in the fleet but generates more power or just as much as as a galaxy

that's becuse it was designed that way, it doesn't have to power complexe diagnostic equpment, research equipment, crew indulgances at long journeys, it's a crude effective small overpowered, maneurable ship

the defiant's core is 3 times as powerful as a galaxy's (tho a soveringe is 2.5 times as powerful as a defiant)

The defiant only has 1 warp core, and it is not the most powerfull in the fleet. If anything the warpcore cant handle the power the ship needs but already emits more power than a ship that size should have.

The Galaxy warp core is about 10 decks long, while the Defiant warp core is like 4-6 decks long. The question is, how is the Defiant core better?

size duss not all ways meen pawer. inavation makes things take up less space. its poabule its a new tipe of core speshaly bild for the defint class.

The defiant's core is essentialy the same design as the one used in the galaxy, just smaller. It doesnt have more power than the galaxy, it has less (the galaxy is a huge ship by comparison and the defiant is a small ship with no luxuries) power. The defiants warp core can barley handle the power the ship needs, that is why the quarters are so spartan, the sickbay sucks, and there are no science labs.

it's spartan and it has no science labs, holodecs exc. becuse it's not an exploration vessel, it's the only real federation battleship, and it was designed for that role and for that role only, it also requires less power, than say a galaxy(if they were the same size) becuse the core doesn't have to power these luxaries, and equipment, so the ship has more spare power for the weapons.
