the federation is no super-race

Aside from the Dominion and the Borg, the federation is the ruler of the Galaxy. They can conquer Romulans, Klingons, Cardassians... The list goes on and on.

cause all star trek series are from the view of a federation ship or station
and i don't think they would be able to conquer the romulan empire - or the klingons and they conquered the cardassians with the aid of the klingons and the romulans, cause they alone lost mor then hundreds ships in battles
the federation is a "nice" party. they are "the good ones" and therefore they ever won but in star trek universe with a neutral perspective - like the flops universe - they are no superrace

ok here we go

1 feds cant conquer klingons as said in the episode yesterdays enterprice where picard admits the federation is loosing the war and will lose in 6months to the klingons

2,they can not conquer the romulans if so why were they trying so hard to be friends with them in every encounter?

3, the federation is actually one of the weaker powers as starfleet is spread way to thin like they only used 39 ships vs the borg at wolf 359 if it were klingon they would have used the whole fleet

4,federation from an impartial perspective are the weakest race simply cause of there tactics klingons and roms fire first and ask later federation ask then shoot

Answer for Number 1
The war on the Yesterday's Enterprise alternate timeline stated in the mid-24th century. The Federation has changed a lot since then. Granted, the Federation will not stand a chance against the Klingons (With new and old K'Vort, BOP, Vor'Cha, K'Tinga classes) while the Feds only have a handful ships. (Ambassador (a few), aging Excelsior, Centaur, Constellation, and so on)
But the Federation technology has advanced since then. They now have new shp classes such as Galaxy, Defiant, Sovereign, Akira, and other. Also after the Dominion War, the Federation has upgraded just about everything. Shields, weapons, engines...

Answer for Number 2
The Federation always want peace. Even with the Dominion, at first. They don't propose peace if they think they will lost against a race. Militarily, the Romulans are outnumbered. They only have warbirds, which were not proven effective during the Dominion Wars.

Answer for Number 3
Starfleet only had a few days (A week at most) to forge a fleet. Of course, the Klingons can't dispatch their entire fleet in a few days to a certain location!


Answer for Number 4
That's only on a 1:1 situation and in not a war. They use fleets in a battle, and not single ships.

The feds did not only have older ships but so did the klingon empire, alot of old ships makes up the empire even by the end of ds9 besides teh fact most where killed in the dominion wars.

In the dominion wars they where fighting the dominion, and they have shown effective against federation ships in the past not to mention tehre is more than one class of warbird.

You just proved his point that they are spread to thin. The kligons also have a smaller teritory to cover, and the federation is a bunch of planets together, and some are in federation space but are not fed worlds but the federation still protects them and offers aid, where as the kligons are one government pretymuch one race and one military (than the houses that for the most part folow the goverment).

The only fleet engagement between kligs and feds have realy been the one ds9 episode and the kligon fleet was up against a station with 5000 photons and facing several starships on the way.

after the dominion war, the federation is the weakest military force in the alpha quadrant.. well okay after the cardassians
the federation hast lost many ships, 2 complete fleets have been destroyed in giant battles. the breen energy weapons showed cruel effectivness against federation starships while leaving klingon vessels untouched. the battlefield of the dominion war was cardassian AND federation space, therefore the results, the destruction is incridible. the klingons have to suffer from giant loss to, but cause they rendered themself immune to the breen weapons there losts shouldn't be that high, even considering internal affairs. final the romulans, a military super power, just send a minimum of their fleet to aid the federation. they still don't trust them and just did this to survive.

the klingons and the romulans had technological advance too, exspecial the romulans.. but in the show you only see the old vessels just because their budget is too low considering ds9 75% of federation fleets consist of exelsior and miranda class vessels, which are damn old and not even a matter to talk about onbord a neghvar

DS9 episode (Season 7) "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges". Agent Sloan clearly stated that after the Dominion wars, Cardassia will be occupied, the Klingons will spend the next 10 years recovering from the war, and only 2 forces will rule the Alpha Quadrant. The Romulans, and the Federationn.

This proves that the Federation cannot be the weakest in the Alpha Quadrant, but cannot afford to to through another war.

Also, I believe its impossible that Excelsior and the Miranda is 75% of the Federation fleet. 45% at most probably..

Right, as for the federation being powerfull of n0ot, their spread thinly yes, but they do have many ships, many old ships are still in service, i dont think 75% are mirandas n excels. but the newer the ship, the fewer it is. the Federation would lose if a full attack came from any other major power, but as the human race is the most unprictable, we would survive, and we'd come back to fight again. Klingons would all die for their home world, Romulans would be smart and retreat, but they wouldnt scatter like humans, thats why the Federation is powerfull in its own respect, coz humans will do really stupid things, that seem to pay off. Plus if they died out it would end the Star Trek franchise.
