Buyable Special Weapons

Well if you want it that realistic, then the Federation would'nt be able to use many of its more powerful ships whereas the Romulans can build infinate Norexan and D'deridex warbirds. Same for the klingons.

Not that realistic. The Galaxies and Nebulas are non-buildable not only for realism, but to balance out the Federation (At least I think).

Perhaps slightly... but then, if they were buildable and would cost as much as they should, concerning their power, they would be just like the Sovereign.

So, the reason why the Galaxy and Nebula landed in SF Command was a matter of realism. They could as well have put the Sovereign in, if it was about balancing... they simply cost credits because they don't cost ressources (except crew).

So choosing which strong ship would be warp in was simple. Only the Descent class is only about balancing. I still don't like it, as it looks like 2 Excelsior-II put together... much of a kitbash. I would love to see a redo of the Descent-class, something more believable.

Indeed, that would be a good idea!

Explanation: Newly developed, can't be built in larger numbers... so it has to warp in from SF Command and you can only have a certain number of them.

All of you think that if you dont open a new threat, a creature will come out of your hard drive and eat you. I think the Descent class should be replaced with the Prometheus. Any of you that oppose this idea will be crushed.

Maybe you can have buyable weapons of mass destruction? I know that this mod doesn't like these things, but you can buy them and put them on a ship or station for a BIG cost, like 5 credits or something.

Again, just a thought. take it or leave it.
