so back to topic.. about the cardasians, my question is this for the moderators: will we see DS9-like stations in the mod?
tell me yes and my life will be complete.

DS9-type stations won't be in the next version, maybe 2 or 3 patches after that one.

The Cardassians will be an NPC race. They will have ships, stations, ect but not playable.

In the future, they're planned as one of the Dominions 4 eventual avatars (like the Breen currently are) and they play a major role in the Fleet Ops storyline.

Where did you hear that? Last I heard from Optec was that they will never be part of the Dominion again

It might have been something RedShirt heard from years ago, but not on any post that the Devs have posted on. When chatting with Optec, he never stated that though... so I'm not sure where it is from

Last I'd heard, they were the race who discovered the Noxter.  I'd consider that a pretty vital role.  Granted, things may have changed, but the FO team has been pretty faithful to their original vision.

Yes, that is correct, but they still aren't going to be a fourth avatar . All the information besides stuff others get from personally talking with the Devs is on the guide's site if you wish to refresh though

Not that a Cardassian avatar would be a bad thing.

You'd think so, but I don't even bother reading most of those requests.  Haha, it's not like my days on the feature request board ever got anything anywhere.  In fact, I'd say that the devs take more inspiration from comments on news posts than this board.  Not that it's a bad thing, mind you; I'm sure feature requests has formed the base of the FO modding community.

Nah, you'd be surprised what they put down for future notes, but when they get 20234938 threads on the Galaxy... it kind of becomes "Neeeeeext!" . Afterall, look at the new feature for Klingons getting supplies - pretty similar to what was suggested on the feature requests - at least by proxy . Keep in mind they have yeaaars worth of feature requests to build off of ... and to sort through

Of course, but their vision is what ultimately is important, not some design on A2files that looks kewl.  Thank goodness.
