I wasn't big on the design of the ship and the whole microtorpedoe thing just seemed silly. That just mean you had to carry two different kinds of torpedoes. You would be better off just having a smaller number of quantum torpedoes arranged like that to save on storage.
I couldn't even get it to run properly under windows 98 - because the game is programmed horribly.
There are some nice strategic features about it, but nothing unique or special. Squad-select and micro-management, that's all. The look of the canon ships was also quite... wrong.

I proposed this vessel in a scaled down version for high end Federation in FO.
The Achilles wouldn't have a unique role in FO (if you were to implement it with its original loadout from DW).
It's basically a more powerful Defiant in terms of role in the field. The torpedo-launchers on the back wouldn't really have a point in a top-view RTS, and if it were to be scaled down it would be as strong or even weaker than the Defiant.

Modded vessels can have whatever weapon loadout and whatever weapon strength you give it. Just type in damagebase = 99999 and one-shot everything with a Venture's pulse phaser
