Is it possible to scale everything more realistically? Because first of all I don't think the Defiant is even as big as the engineering section of a Galaxy. I was wondering if we could more accurately scale everything as best we can to the shows. Because that might make things seem a bit more Real in the title Real Time Strategy. Because I'd usually think that there'd be more accurate scaling for such a great mod. After all I'm sure it is nothing too trouble some.

That would be good, but tough. The show couldn't even figure out what size most things were...

i dont tthink it would work for everything, especially not the borg...
also stations could prove a little problem..

If the scale diferences ere too big, you surly would be in trouble clicking a defiant and a cube would block too much screen. of course it would be nice to have the option to swich to a realistic mode.

i tried to do a realistic scale for my mod but found that some ships (scouts) were just far too small

we are already quite close to the acutal scaling

by the way, the "real" in rts is from "real-time", meining its not round based ^-^

As far as I can tell... looks like things are nearly at the scale they were most often portrayed at in the shows and movies :)

Well, the Defiant, Venture, Saber, and possibly the Excelsior are all appearently out of scale. I for one am certain the defiant and venture are scaled up.

Keep in mind that the Cubes we see are the "Voyager" Cubes and not the Command Cubes that Assaulted Earth in First Contact.

I don't recall whether the Cube from Best of Both Worlds was really a Command Cube or whether it was a smaller scale.

The ones we have though I are the Voyager Cubes that are still incredibly powerful, just not the massive fleet-pwnage sized one from First Contact.

  Ninja'ed by Gamer.

Keep in mind that anything made too small (Defiant, Venture) would be ... well would just be too hard to see.

I made the Defiant smaller in the last version (to a more canon size) and it was still easily selectable and visible when fully zoomed out.

Defiant could survive a 25% reduction.

Excelsior is not out of scale... or the other ships for that matter except maybe the Defiant  :sweatdrop:

The Federation Fighter ingame seems a little bigger than the Peregrine Class in that image. Big enough to see, not big eough to matter.

That image uses Sabre?

I don't get it.  What's wrong with the Sabre?
