I vote against nerfing... instead just put more crappy warp-in ships making good ones less common. :P

I will only support warp in nerfing if the SFC actually will call in big giant nerf balls for me to toss futilely against scubes and tac cubes and bugs and such. They can even have nerf physics!!! oh and then we might as well coat all ships in a layer of nerf so that none of the precious ships get scratched or bumped to hard. Afterall we gotta be mindful of all the pimped out shiny ships we have. Hell lets coat crew with nerf too....well except for redshirts cuz they are the nerf of starfleet....fail fail fail...oh and nerf shields and nerf torpedos and tri-nerf and quad-nerf and double layered nerf and pulse fired nerf...hell nerfing sounds like a great idea....and vector calculating nerf....hmmmm what else can we nerfify.....plasma nerf...hyper nerf artillery....transnerfwarp.....yeah starfleet nerf command.....we can also have nerfing research stations and mixed nerf tech so that we can research abilities that will nerf our opponents.....yadda yadda yadda.....  :woot:

yeah, I too would like a new model, or a completely automated warpin where it will, once researched, will automatically warp in ships every set interval of time.

but to get rid of it completely would be a bad idea imo.  I love warpin :D

and it is a FO unique feature that sets this game, game play wise, far apart from other federation mods.

  Well since the new patch has come out I've found the feds to be a little more balanced as the other races have been brought up to their standards.  I've not really had much time to test Mayson, though Risner now does MUCH better and I'm guessing Mayson can only be better as everything just comes faster.

  The issue of Warp-ins being too much of a supply boon seems to be less so, which was the main argument here until all of you ninnies decided to sidetrack it being about how strong the ships are / because you can't win without it / yadda yadda yadda / because clearly feds need a boost since they have Galaxy's and Defiants and Voyagers and yaddda yadda /....


  Anyway ... I'd like this thread to be suspended for the moment until better testing of the strategies has been done.  Right now Dominion and Romulan don't have a snowball's chance in hell against Feds but the Klingons and Borg seem to do just fine.

Well, this thread was supposed to be humorous, but people who never play online are getting their panties in a twist.  I love the fact that I can pump Norways and E-IIs out full time and still have enough cash to purchase two supply upgrades at the same time, because I didn't know what else to do with the money. ^-^

Lawl!  I've only been playing Klingons for the most part in the new patch.

  I did play a couple games as Fed but I was Risner and actually never even built an Eraudi yard.  It was an epic game but I ended up spamming Monsoons and Intrepids until I could build Akiras.  Had 3 yards going full time and Dom supplied me with ... supply because he was Dominion.  By the time he was giving me supply though I still had hundreds left and a huge fleet.

Yeah, current balance will need more testing to be definitely determined, but with a large amount of 1v1's today and yesterday it appears that Dominion and Romulans lack counters (Romulans nearly entirely) to the units that counter them from the Klingons, Federation, and Borg.

Mayson feds are now reaaaaally powerful though with the Norway being a real killer again. :sweatdrop:

aye, i just discovered a small database bug, where the canaveral and the norway cost too less resources, as they were placed at the wrong position in the tech tree. they cost around 10 percent more resources now. :blush:

  And I've noticed that most Fed ships now actually have longer build times.  The Phalanx is up to 190 seconds.

  Have to say though ... Yandon just recorded a game between Stardust and I where I was Taq and Star was Mayson.  The only reason I managed it was because he mad some mistakes and because Kvorts are BEASTLY powerhouses now.
