i dont agree it is easy for them to steal ships. they can take over smaller ones like the sbre etc. but it is not possible to tkae over any other hsips.
the torps are so storng that they tend to destory the hulls before u can strt beaming, and the assimilator beams are only useful against small crews as tey drain pretty quickly

the nanite factory, yes tried that one.. but still. it isnt of much use against sovs and akiras.
sabres and lesser hulls even the excelsior can be taken over - at the expense of firepower. Even get them with assims. combo of assim and nanite factory tried as well, bt the energy consumed from the nanite factory ends up reducing the time of my assim, in the end the gain is not as much as i would like to actually see the borg being called assimilators.
At this point they are all eradicators.
oh well onwards and upwards

It's great if you take 4 assimilators up front and spam them. This is with 2 Assimilator Beams and Nanite Factory of course, since with the beams you have to go all the way or not at all. Then take your remaining Assimilators and start sucking the remaining crew dry. Since Nanite Factory reduces the crew by 5%, it doesn't matter which ship or station you use it on. Removing 60% of the crew certainly makes things easier.

A Mixed Tech ship I would like to see for the Fed/Klingon Worf Avitar is the "Flint Class Battle Cruiser" from the ASDB's Dockyard Reveiw Series of books. Klingon Designed hull follows a traditional Klingon form of angles planes and arcs but Fed Engines, fire controls ,Weaoponds And Crew acomidations.Size wise 25% smaller than a Galaxy class starship. eguipped with 16 type 10 phaser strips and 4 Mrk 80 torpedo tubes. Think a Manta rayed headed D-7 with three Fed Galixy stlyed engines.
The Following above ship is from the reference book series
THE BEST OF DOCKYARD REVIEW VOLUME Two 2350-2390 Pages 27-30. Though Not offically Cannon it follows a pattern laid out in cannonical references. I would like to in addition see the Negvars Ion cannon Added to the weponds package or the "old A Style Bortas" Ion Storm torpedo added to the platform .

I think the torp module actually says that it makes the torp stronger, can't remember exactly

It boosts the torp power and adds 10 percent chance to deal hull damage.
