I've voted for the Qaw'Duj.

It's not a bad design, mind you. It simply doesn't fit with my playing style.

I use the Vutpa's (specially the Mixed Tech version) more than those.

Vutpa and Qaw'Duj. I don't use these two. I spam the Sang as often as I can when playing with Klingons. In fact, one of my fleets is always made only from Sang. That ship class just rocks !

Qaw'Duj for me too. Hardly ever build it, but the rest have uses for me.

Vutpa' Class - My only use for it is as a Troop Transport, but I never actually get around to doing anything.

I dont really use the vutpa or the sang, but i could only vote for 1... so i voted for the vutpa because i think the last time i built some was a couple patches ago.

I'd have to say Vut'pa and Oaw'Duj. The latter is almost useless, only torp attack that misses like hell when not using the tractor beam and the vut'pa is weaker than the vorcha even though it comes at a higer tier so it's a no go for me as well

Vutpa' . Slow and medium range... although its passive is great, it just doesn't put out.

I like the Qaw'Duj's Sword of Kahless ability, but the ship as a whole isn't all that great...

Hm yep, the vote seems to go in the same direction as i thought. Keep the ideas and feedback rolling! :)

I just started redoing the Qaw'Duj abilities, it will probably get a complete new tripple of abilities, more about that soon. Dont know exactly about the Vutpa'. I have some ideas for it, but not yet sure

Ideas for the Vupta?

I have a couple:

Increase the crew complement and make the controlling AI (when you leave it alone) NOT to try automatically to combat-transport borg ships. Same with all combat-transport capable ships for all races, Tavara or the Dominion Frigate (?) come to mind.

Autoboarding a borg ship is giving your ship to the borg. When I want to board a borg ship or station, I will tell them. Autoboarding against other races is fine.

Setting a Troop Ship to 'No Special Weapon Autonomy' will prevent auto-boarding.

I know that, but in a mixed race entanglement with tens of ships, you might want to board some races' ships, but leave the borg ones alone. The AI is usually faster than you telling which ships are "ready" and which ones still have shields up. If you go by hand, you are almost assured to miss a boarding chance.

The AI should be smart enough to ignore Borgs unless manually ordered. The only borg ships I board are the builders and the only borg stations I try to board are the incubation centers. Anything else has too much crew to even think about boarding it.

Is there anyway to prevent beaming onto Borg ships without hindering borg boarding?

Qaw'Duj would be useful if the special abilities would be more powerful and would effect more ships, like restoring energy, increasing speed for a few seconds, boosting firerate... Polaron field is a good ideea, but 5 seconds ? This is a joke compared to sensor blackout witch is a more powerful weapon and lasts 5 times longer...

As Ive mentioned in another thread, the Vupta for me. The thing is just slow, too slow in fact, to catch destroyers its ment to destroy with its pulse weapons...

Its passive is quite good though :)
