You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

No, no. That's been added to the USS Enterprise D by ISS_Enterprise_D (Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Awesome Screenies! Official Screenshot thread!)

Pirates! That's the Docs weapon...

That's what I'm talking about!

That needs to be added to the experimental warp-in.  I know it's a bit underpowered, but one has to start somewhere.

Truth be told, I didn't actually remember the Photonic Cannon ever literally being mentioned in the Star Trek series, Voyager in this case (hope I'm right, since you guys are all saying the Doc) Dominus said it in that thread really as a joke, but it sounded like a good Passive Ability for my Enterprise-D, instead of the over-the-top weaponry that I gave her originally.

You didn't remember the Photonic Cannon?

Ah... memories return to me..... well, sorta.

I vaguely remember the episode, but mainly just that the Doctor had numerous daydreams. I honestly don't remember the mention of the Photonic Cannon at all. If I'm right, though, the scene leading up to that point was that the Doc was dreaming that Voyager was under attack, and Captain Janeway had just died or been incapacitated. Therefore the "ECH" took over and fought off the enemy, which now appears to have been a Borg Sphere.

Lol it barely does anything :( It should get a boost :D. Also, why is the intrepid only short range?

  Because it's super fast!

That and it's special used in large numbers is excellent for destroying a battleship or station rapidly.  Do they really need the saber AND a stronger Saber with Artillery Torpedoes?  :D

Not sure of the canon purpose of the intrepid?  It's a multi-mission long-range vessel.  AKA - A federation explorer.  It's designed to be highly self-sufficient, fast, and survivable.  It's sole real purpose is 'to boldly go where no one has gone before'.  Like the Galaxy, but smaller and more advanced.  And without a butt-load of civilians on board.

It's Science abilities are a tad limited for an Explorer... What kind of Explorer doesn't eve have a Stellar Cartography?

More likely a bigger Nova/Oberth than a smaller Galaxy.

yep i also got the feeling that the Intrepid is more a larger scout .. something like an patroll vessel, that would also explain why it was sent for the maquis in the first place. It has more of a military touch then the Galaxy, without being a real combat ship like the Defiant

Can you hint as to whether or not it's going to be an interceptor unit? :D

Funny how Starfleet had a different ship for different missions whereas other empires could fullfill all roles using one ship like the Klingon B'Rel. To me the B'Rel was the most versatile ship ever made. It
could scout deep into enemy territory, embark on a planet surface, and a Bird of Prey was responsible
for the destruction of two of the Federation's most famous ships.
