Heh. I just jad a game. FFA. I was Roms. Vs Feds Vs Klingons. The game was stalemate. I quit cos I could not be bothered playing the never ending game. One other thing that made me quit was how I had ONE expansion, with ONE di moon mining with ONE miner. And the Feds had an expansion with atleast 5 turrets. I did not build even ONE turret. This problem of turrets NEEDS to be corrected.

So... this was a FFA (which in and of itself should say enough) ... where a guy built 5 turrets at his expansion alone, and you had only a single dilithium moon. Sounds fair to me. What Fed turrets are you complaining about anyhow? The Romies only have a single short ranged unit, so it can't be the Phaser Turret. He built FIVE torpedo turrets? FIVE? A Klingon player could do exactly the same thing, and a Klingon's turrets are more powerful AND cheaper. I don't see a problem at all. Especially considering this is a free for all - I mean, if you leave a guy alone like that, what's to stop a person from making a few Cubes in piece? In any normal game (2v2, 1v1 etc) bulking up on turrets = suicide.

Lol. I did not leave him alone. I killed his fleet. Three times. And I killed his first expansion. The expansion he turtled on was on the other side of the map. By the time I managed to rebuild from our last encounter, he had 2 Torp turrets, with others building. And the Klingons were still lurking about with some Vorchas.

And just because you can throw a crappy comment like that at him doesn't make him wrong either. The other players could of formed a temp alliance to take the guy out. A turtling player not gives the other players time to build and expand. After that you can spam turrets to death.

Lol. And looks like you don't know your Romulans. I made the Feds attack the Klingons, then I attacked the Feds. It would fail if I asked the Klingons to attack. ALSO the Klingons had already given up. He had 2 Vorchas. Never trust a Romulan.

. Did you try attacking his main base?
If not, you can always use long range units and engage the turrets 1 at a time. Ships can go repair, turrets cannot
. Also, if you're Rommies, that is the ONE JOB OF THE SERKAS
. It will take turrets apart real quick even by itself

He had Quantum turrets. They have arty range aswell. Serkas would have been useless.
And. I did not have the Tal'Shiar. AND I only had a few ships. AND if I attacked his main base, where his fleet was sitting, I would have gotten eated.

try build that many turrets in an online game and you will be dead. simples. turrets will not make u win at fleetops. they only delay your demise. currently risner's photon turret and the fedrat phaser turret will delay it longer than others.

5 Support Ships - problem solved. You don't even need to get the shield regen, though it helps. Just move in close, disable the turrets, blow them up while keeping them disabled and then get out
