Feds Early game

I think he is just frustrated with the number of Rays post that say the same thing. It has been pointed out to him how to improve his fed strategy but he doesnt listen. However i agree that is too harsh, we all need to keep a civil tone in this forum.

Ok, in the interest of trying to help... 

To counter Serpicus's initial game strategy of sending Assimilator Avatar SCubes and an Assim early on:
One correct build order for Mayson is: Build first yard and build 3 sabers and di mining. When finished with yard build first tech structure and research 2nd chasis. Build Norway. When di mining done build tri mining. When first tech structure done build second then tech to warp ins. He should have just begun the attack... use normal warp in and micro sabers. Upgrade Norway to use plasma. Bye bye Scubes.

yeah seriosuly mark, stfu, its not just fed posts, ive only posted 3 btw about feds, but all the other ideas get bashed, i play alot of other races, so dont get mad at me if you dont remeber my borg post, cus nobody paid attention, and said i was just trying to make borg stronger, same with the rom post, and i think i had one for kligon and dominion,

and seriosuly, why the fuck does everybody just brush away my ideas, fed or not, its like every idea i have is either rubbish, wouldnt work, the game cant handle it, its to futuristic for fleet ops, to old for fleet ops, or everybody acuses me of making one race a god race,

what i see is a problem with the feds, i belived that they did not have alot of power, relative to the other races, everyone said that they had a strong early and middle game, so i looked at that, but i didnt see it, what i saw was a weak early game, it seems that the feds tech is there downfall for early game, borg are very good at early game, one station, and you can build powerful ships instantly, with a structure

now, as to my fed stratagy, then if im doing it so wrong sombody showed me, but i really wish you guys would stop beating me abotu the same thing, i play all races, although i think i suck at rommies, i like to play as the borg and dominion somtimes, plus the kligons, i actually, dont like the feds, because they dont seem to have alot of strengths, sure they have some nice defense............. but there early ships dont reflect this i find there way to easily destroyed,

i know im not the only one who thinks this, ive heard others talk about the weak saber, thats in part why i brought this up,

now i dont see what the big deal is, if you guys dont want to talk about it dont post, the team can look at what i have to say and consider it, i already know 4 people who you guys ran out after the galaxy thread, just because of that

seriously, the harshness of this comunity is fucking nuts, i always try to stay positice, but i get annoyed when i spend time on an idea, and then nobody says anything contructive,

I have to agree with you guys.  Feds early game is great.  Once you have a few sabers and a norway you're good to go!

why is it so great, i find sabers to be yes, fast, however, if sombody just drives into your base, sabers wont save you, and how does norway help, the only thing that might be useful is the plasma, but that dosent seem to do to much damage

I agree completely with ray, build faster, cost less, anything to let you stand your ground until you get the akira.  Even if it was just the saber, that would be fine with me.

yeah, i agree, so maybye heres a soulution, alow the moonsoon to be built without chassis, just like the saber, it has the higher defense needed to help defend bases, but it isnt a very high attacking ship, this would help the feds early game in defense, to get it to that middle game point

now, id also like to know, how does the intrepid fit into all of this, i find them to be, no offense, plain shit, the only use i get out of them in a fleet is a quick strike with there special weapon till they get ripped apart,

and to the fleet ops team, can we get a list of ship stats for quick refrence? cus i think the saber stacks up pretty low, i mean klingons get those nice birds of prey, they swoop in with cloak, and can terrorize the hell out of you, and if your building mining with your starbase, you cant detect the cloaking

the rommies can do the same, and the borg are just brutal to smaller ships,

the dominion...............................

Okay:

1. That's what Offensive, Defensive, and System Values are listed for.
2. The Federation doesn't need cloaking since the Saber-class has the longest range of any destroyer, good shields, and decent speed.
3. Other people can make the Federation work (absurdly well) without needing to "balance" the game in Starfleet's favor. Why can't you?

The reason people are bashing your ideas is because most of your ideas are like this: "emmm I think fed early/late/middle game strenght is too weak. I think the stats of this and this and this and this ship should increase.

Sorry man, those are not ideas, that is actually whining. Now the straw that broke the camels back (with mark, and a lot earlier with me ) is that this has actually been discussed b4 (in a thread concerning Dominion even, and you brought it up) and still you repeat yourself.
But thats ok, I really just dont care anymore, let others explain game mechanics.

@All: we r taking this a bit to serious (:D). the world is not going to end because of ray's posts. if he feels that something is wrong and wants to post about it ... fine. it's a free world (maybe except some parts of africa, china, ... and so on ). it's also free to disagree with ray, just don't kill him. ignore him if u can't stand his post any more. there r far worse things out there then ray. like that religion thing. i even heard that Jesus is going to be back here some day. now thats scary.

@ray: i hate to see the FO community loosing a member, any member. as for ur posts: do u have breaks somewhere there. could u please hit it from time to time. i played a game with u and 30 min after it there was a balance post about it. if u've tested a few things b4 u post about them we would have all been better. please don't take this personally but u could try to consider what u have to say more carefully from time to time.

this is about as serious as i can be. now has anybody seen my parrot lately, i know i lent it to those clowns at monty python for some movie or something and i can find it ever since. i hope they didn't kill it of anything

@ everyone...

Yes my post may have seemed a little harsh, but i have tried telling Ray320 in much nicer ways in various other posts but he actually ignores me completely, for example the great thread by Ray320 known as Summarising The Federation... I may a bunch of posts and everyone started like so roughly, have you even read anythig ive said or are you ignroing me?

Ray says his only done 3 or 4 topics but he has hijacked many others slipping in his little statements, in the 3.0.6 news post he even slipped in saucer seperation and a Constellation...

but if other people found my post harsh im sorry you found it harsh, but im not sorry for saying what i said. It is the clearet way i could point it out to Ray320

Also his posts arent usually constructive but involve unbalancing the game to make up for his shortfalls

Everyone has told you many tactics, hell youve even played a game or two with us and everytime your build stratergy has been a joke. by the time anyone dives in to your base witha  fleet capable of killing your starbase you should be of sabers and on to Akiras...
And the borgs units are all rubbish with out the transmission matrix built so what do you mean they get a strong ship straight away... Do you have any idea how easy it is to kill a scout cube?
And the intriped is a borg based attack vessel, thats its purpose! Borgs have no sheilds so phaser based ships are a waste, and hence the intrepid with its special rips them to peaces!

Ill give you an example, i was dominion and beat the Borg (Serp) with a fleet of Bombers and 2 Dreadnaughts, ripped him to shreads just by exploiting their weakness, short range and no sheilds!

and Finally please don't tourture us with your klingon/rom post as it will just be like Baron said and actually contain nothing useful!

I stick to my point, your not good at the game, you dont understand simple game mechanics and your not willing to listen to people and learn...

P.S. if you don't beleive me, talk to Cbosdell and ask him how much he along with me and Dominus_Noctis have improved because we go online together, test new stratergies, build orders and so on together rahter then play, make a whinning post, and then hope they unbalance the game for me...

P.S.S Roms have an overly strong early game and don't know to be made stronger, klingons just need some fine tuning... dominion are one of the best races but are very specialised so you need to know what ship you need for what... Basically just play Borg as they are designed for people who don't understand game mechanics like you...

Really though its speical weapon is not worth the tritinaum its built with!  And its slow, it is easly destoyed, its ugly, its costy, and you can't spam it.    IMO it has no place in my fleet.

Okay, i'm not sure if i agree with Ray here. I'm not sure if from the sounds of things he is approaching his arguments from an intellectual and professional manner and thus annoying the community by appearing like a spam poster about the same problems.

However this could suggest he needs a little tuition and help developing his game. Some of us take longer to understand mechanics than others? It could also mean perhaps he is a bit younger than some of us here or used to more simple games and will need help understanding the more indepth mechanics that lead to the generalisation of Offense, Defense and System values??

More importantly, and i hope you don't all jump on me here for being a new member, but you are all being increadably rude, seriously immature and showing a lack of the intelligence you are all ribbing him for not having.

You do not insult someone because they never ever agree with you. Game balance is a difficult thing just because of the variables involved when you make sides having different stat units instead of carbon copies. As soon as you involve more than rock, paper and sissors to the game it becomes more complex and more difficult.

There are a number of things that could result in Ray saying what he has and no matter how often he posts these things you have NO RIGHT to attack him directly with insults and mockery. No matter how well hidden.

As a new member here i am appalled at this, especially considering the rest of the site seems to contain manners of a high standard. I think you should all say sorry and consider this.

Insulting someones failings elsewhere in life, or bringing them into focus does not counter the argument they have brought up. It is a false way of arguing.

OH to the poster in the first page who was offensive. Bang out of order and i'd love to see you do that to certain people in real life. Don't act like that on the internet just because you are "unseen" and "unnacountable", eventually you'll do it in real life and get the shock of your life.
