Maybe it is good to change the warpin timer once the SFC is built. The timer should count down if the building is ready...this gives you some more minutes.

there will be some subtile changes to warpin in 3.1.4, including that you wont get double steamrunners anymore

For Klingons, don't forget that your starbase can produce a cruiser now.  Not gonna be fun for them to warp in expecting only a couple little ships and find a Qah'duj or two waiting for them.

by the time of the first warpin you can have only 1 qawduj.

And how many B'rel or K'beaj'q?

Probably five or so, but a good Fed player will usually build a ship or two while working on warpin. That could easily mean five cruisers to your five destroyers and one support.

A support cruiser with combat-worthy stats which comes with it's default ability being to prime itself (and just itself) for heavy combat.  This is assuming that you don't try to unlock it's other two specials.

Point being, warpin isn't the godmode that people keep making it out to be.  In the listed example, if someone had sent a couple ships to his base, he would have had no means to defend himself.  An endless stream of 'What if' doesn't help anything at all.  Can always state something else that could happen, but that doesn't matter much when five sabres are dancing at max range, killing those medium and short range ships despite their puniness.

you wont have time to get any qawduj abilities before warpin as research is done at armoury.

qawduj is useful as it handles intrepids and excels with ease. and its torp doesnt miss against large warpin ships.
