Dominion overpowered
You feel like a battlecruiser is too weak or a race too strong? Go ahead and discuss it here :)

i thin it would really help, if the bugs do dmage first to shielkds, then to hull, becausse now the borg are extremly resistent against bugs, which is a bit unbalanced.

The Borg have quite a bit of trouble with Bugs as it is: they ram you and push you out of range of the Bomber... and that's your only ship!

Not to mention that bug is doing 200 damage to the Borg ship!
Also, I was wondering if the cost of producing them would drop slightly if the base damage is going to be reduced.

i hope so... otherwise the nerf would be to heavy.

sounds interesting. What if the base ram is more vessel size related, powering up to deal higher damage to the larger vessels as the rank increases.
for example, if a bug rams a rhienn it destroys the ship at the base level ram strength, but if it rams a larger Galaxy it deals 20% as base.
Then as it progresses the higher class ram can start to take out full larger ships.
Since we have adapted size recognition for the torpedoes, this should not be much of a stretch in the code.
Also, if we are progressing, then i for one would request to see the veteran ram capable of really wiping out a galaxy or d'deridex, while dealing the old 3.05 damage to a station (the one where 2 rams took out a mining fac and 3-4 took out a shipyard).
Personally I would like to leave the Dominion as is, but if we are changing, then this is just a suggestion.

A lot of people have been saying that the Cascade Feedback is over powered right? I disagree, because personally I think half of the late game ships are a bit underpowered, especially the Seige Cruiser. I propose maybe putting the Cascade onto the Seige cruiser and take some other stronger weapon off of it. Because the Seige cruiser if equipped with the 3.07 Cascade feedback can actually fulfill its roll as a Support Battleship, or actually be promoted to offensive battleship. But I am all in on the idea that the late game ships need some boost. After all, why should the Dom be weaker than the Feds. In the Dominion War the Dominion had the power to wipe out all of the Alpha Quadrant. The Federation did not nor did they want to.

The Cascade Feedback takes out a Sphere in three hits. Enough said.
The Seige Cruiser is an exceptionally useful vessel--heck you only need a few to make a HUGE difference in battle. It is cruiser and never was aiming to be a support battleship.
The Dominion has quite powerful late game ships and needs no buff--and basing it on the show is pointless--the Borg would assimilate/destroy everything then.

It does way too much damage: I think Optec said something was tabulated incorrectly a few weeks back.

Hmph, I guess no one likes pure power. At least I do things by the book when designing my things. After all, pure power is what the Dominion, Borg, and Klingons all want. the Romulans just want to keep up with everyone else and the Federation just want to be able to survive. I am beginning to question just how balanced things are...

you can't base the game balance on the series.
imagine, the balance would be like in the series:
borg would PWN everything, with a great army, dominion would o the same, romulans would get powned and he federation could use a single sovereign class to destroy unimatrix one and so on. i think no one want to play that.
Just my opinion^^

For those arguing in favor of making "Fleet Operations" more similar to the series (in terms of ship strength and such), I have just one thing to say:
http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Battle_of_Wolf_359

How'd you like to play the Federation in that scenario?
