I was playing an AI game the other day, and I was watching this Borg toss ships at a fed starbase. This one pair of assimilators ended up camping right outside the range of the base's guns for some reason, and the Fed's kept throwing sabers and repair ships up to fight them. Every time one of them got into range of the assims, it would be de-crewed and go floating off into a big pile of derelict ships. Eventually, there were 10-12 dead sabers and half that many repair ships just sitting in a big pile. Sadly, I forgot to grab a screenie, but I did go and blow up the assims before stealing ALL of the ships.
It was a good day for the Klingons, especially since getting an EXP bonus against the Borg is tricky (and they kept stealing my own ships too.)
