make a good running version of Fleet operations and zip it and give it a special ID like, Star trek Armade 2: Fleet operations Zip version

Than it woudlent be compaitble with anyone who doesnt have zip, so what is the point in the end if you cant play with others.

And also because, in order to install FO u need original A2 CD, this means that if u have that stripped down version u can get from kazaa or some other places it wont work. And the only reason anyone really would ask for zipped files is because they dont have an original A2 CD.
The way ths installer works now is simpler, and more compatable than zipped stuff would ever be :P

i think all he means (the same as me) is stick the .exe in a zip file, same installer etc, just in a .zip, i don't see why this would f*** up compatablity etc?

a ziped or rared version would be larger then our current installer. the installer uses the best freeware compression we could find -> we already love the 56k users :)
besides that: get a download manager! :P

we already did that with the music. the sound files themselves are very small and that would be no use :) why should it be better to download 10 seperate files and give you extra work?

Get a download manager! ^_^
(i think i will put that line at the end of every post in this topic)
