As I recall there will never be a zip packaged version for many reasons.
#1 Compatibilty, keeps all installs compatible
#2 Instalation size, Only nesecarily files are transfered over
#3 Ease of install, Just put the cd in and run the installer

I think those are why, and if you look around youl see that there wont be a zip version.

the installs would still be compatible all you would have to do is unzip it then follow your instructions

You shouldent need a Zip version, *waves hand* the current setup will suffice.

Seriosly, If you need a CD to install A2 in the first place to use a zip, and to play it. Than just keep the A2 cd in the drive and let the installerdo its job, and make a smaller install than you would wind up with using the zip file.

There in lies the compatibility thing. All those extra files that are left over (since fleet ops installer only installs the files from the cd that it needs and nothing more) will cause a compatibility error with people using the installer.

no i agree with Degra, it does need to be zipped, you can always have the option of downloading a non zipped file, filefront etc don't charge any more, infact they don't charge atall!

Are you all missing the compatibility point here? besides that inside the exe it is already compressed using the highest free compression i do belive.

upacking with winrar doesn't works you start the game and it crashes
if you want to compress it, remove sound files and pack them in a other package..
isn't that hard..
