So after playing the new patch, and taking her for a spin. Id like to suggest a cosmetic change to the spamming of torpedoes from the Teutoberg (spelling?)

Currently in game the torps go like this:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I think something like this would look better

++++____++++____++++____++++____++++____++++____++++____++++____++++____++++____

Obviously the torp damage would need adjustment, but visually this is much more appealing. Thoughts?

Can you please post a screenshot? :) The torpedoes should fire in volleys, and not continuously  :sweatdrop:

Oh.... Is this a bug? I didn't recall seeing it confirmed. I'll try to get a screen for you all

Yeah, the tooty toot fires in volleys, but the volleys are different from the Sovereign or E-II.  I think it's to make happy all those people who complain that fed ships should fire a billion torpedoes.  Now if they want a bunch of torps, they can have a ship that does it. ^-^

I was unable to get it to do that solid line, but I swear in an online game with Sutee every teutoburg we called in fired a solid line of torpedoes for 10 seconds. Hell I almost brought down a Warbird yard.

Makes sense.  It's the new "station killer" that replaces the Steamrunner.  It misses a lot vs ships, but packs a punch vs stations, especially with its specials. :D

btw, I really hope that the inclusion of a new torpedo bucket means the devs are retooling the steamrunner and moving it away from its unfortunate artillery heritage. :woot:

I as well hope the steamrunner will return as another role. unfortunate to see the design go.

as for the teutoburg i think it fires fine for me. it definitely has streaks where it fires straight, but usually its in volleys.

overall, seems like it fits the description. needs to be used strategically. doesnt seem to be able to take to much punishment. so not much bite when you face off with it (though it does seem to get good damage on stations and all). but as for its bark, i like it. gets your attention when you see 8 photons coming out at you from some foggy space. lol first time that it happened where the AI got it, I was thinking $#!t is there a fleet behind me or something?  lol

yeah, the bug could have been due to the messed up cannonimp line, which was fixed on the new hotfix.

Playing 3.2.1 official fix and tuetoburg is normal on no, 2,3,4 bars. 1 Silver bar is still a machine gun tho. took out conduction amtrix in under 30 seconds.

It was partially fixed by hotfix. Now only single silver bar and officer (heard that officer does it, have not seen officer doing it so far) have the problem AFAIK. Used to do it apparently randomly at all ranks.

Anyways, here's a description since I don't have a pic:
Constant torpedo stream. Syncs with framerate exactly so that it appears the twelve or so torpedos aren't moving at all. You can only see movement when the Teuto moves, or when it stops firing.

Idk i think 23 and arash can back me up but we played a 3v3 and it seemed like a constant stream, not the whole time i dont think, but at some points it was..... i think nebulas right that it only does it at silver
