Novas are some kind of beasts. Spaming torpedo volleys up to 3 times.
Their supply support makes them in a group made only of Novas badass...

Sweet little ships...  >:D

If you get 5 vet novas in a MP match, you deserve the descents.

Remember, the mod is only tested for MP mostly, so in SP expect semi exploit things to be possible.

Drink less.  Boggz iz a happy drunk.  You, Mark, are a mean drunk .

Tokra is right (finally).  Flops is balanced for MP.  If you find something sorta imbalanced after 2 hours of Single Player, it's not something that can really be changed :D

Feel free to sign me on as SP tester

:P

Flops is a great mod, among the best, but it's SP is horrid (if you're a primary SP player) unless you tinker with it.

Fleet Operations is not only designed for Multiplayer. But what precisely do you want? competition against your pc? come on, seriousely...

start any single player mission of the sc2 campaign and tell me how "fair" the scenario is.

if you are looking for competition. try multiplayer.

I like to think of single player as 'challenge mode'.  I set myself some ridiculous restriction set, and see how well I can do.  Usually on Blue Amber, 7 AI, FFA.  Makes things...bad.  My favorite, though it didn't work well, was the 'TOS Klingon Fleet'.  Play as Taq, build nothing but K'ting'a and B'rel.  Try to win that way.  Bonus if you destroy your free Noq'duj.

I think sometimes we forget that this is basically made by 2 people (with support from some great modelers and voice actors ).  Something like starcraft 2 had hundreds of people working on it and millions of dollars to play with to get the game up and running.  They also have had 12 years to work on it, while Fleet Ops has only had about 7-8!

Making multiplayer good has been what has set FO from other mods out there, has created the fan base to help give them ideas and encouraged them to continue this project.  At some point, they'll create some cool SP missions using MMM, and they'll improve the AI.  But without hundreds of other programmers and millions of dollars, it's going to take a lot longer to get things done.  And of course, they don't just do this for us, but they enjoy programming and making the game, so they don't want a whole bunch of other people sticking their fingers in the cake. :whistling:

Optec and  Doca plan several years ahead as to what they want to do.  We'll get some cool single player action, we just need to be patient.  In the meantime, hopefully those crazy kids at FF will get their act together and start making some cool single player missions, like Terra's wastelands mod (which will have a campaign :woot:) and whatnot.

fleetops is easily better than some games that had development companies backing them. its funny that they can do this in their free time, with far less people, and only donations to buy their beer pay for computers and stuff. makes you wonder what goes on in game development companies.
