All up to date.

What I can't get is that just the assault/probe ships won't budge in FO3.
I would think either all or none would, so it seems like a coding error???

Then again, I have no clue at all...

Mayhaps I'll try to run the CD version in Safe Mode later.
I'll let you know how that went.

Welcome to the forums - I wish it was on a better note  :(

Only useful thing I can suggest is installing Tunngle and trying to host/join a game on multiplayer: if your version of FO is different, then there is obviously something installed improperly...

Have you tried installing in your documents folder rather than My Program files yet? :)

Taking a screenshot or so might also help just to see if it looks like you are running the same thing and to better understand the issue you are having.

Sorry for the late reply: had a hectic time with the kids (5)...

RL came first....     :D

Tunngle:
Seems no one is in there, but I did not have a version mismatch, nor any other error.

Restarted Tunngle and FO3:

Now we're in...
... and no version mismatch...

version mismatch will be seen when you can see somebody else's game and it is yellow.

if you can't see other games then tunngle is probably not set up right. games you can join will be white, games that have started/are locked will be red.

if people are in tunngle lobby then ask them if they have a game up, if they have and you can't see it, then you need to troubleshoot your network.

I am wondering what you mean here, Myles?

I have been trying to reinstall, but this is useless, I keep getting the same problem...
Baffled...

i'm saying that i think your problem isn't version mismatch, version mismatch can only be determined if you can see a game hosted and it's yellow.

you appear to have no games listed, which is a tunngle/network issue. sadly this is much harder to fix. you'll need to allow tunngle/fleetops (and directplay too i think) through your firewall and ensure that tunngle can access its port.
